If you want you stay in the China Town area of Bangkok then this hotel is a great choice. The location is wonderful as you are near to numerous key places of appeal. The first being that you are right on the famous Yaowarat Rd. which runs through the heart of China Town. A short walk behind the hotel takes you to the incredible Wat Traimit Withayaram Worawihan Temple and then then onto Yaowarat Rd. This is a huge street packed with bars, food stalls and restaurants and the excitement of China Town hits you immediately. And just opposite the hotel is the historical Hua Lamphong train station which itself is a sight worth visiting. The underground MRT train runs from there which links up with the entire train network and so it’s well suited for all travel connections. The hotel is itself quite large and I felt as if I was in two different hotels whilst there. The café and restaurant at the front on the ground floor appears quite new and has a contemporary appeal. It looks trendy and modern and suggests its been recently redesigned and thus works well as the face of the hotel. The breakfasts were great and the ambience and design of the café/restaurant all lends itself to a being a lovely place to take a break from the intense heat and traffic of Bangkok. Now the actual rooms somehow felt like they are part of a different hotel. I felt as if I was stepping back in time a little. The rooms felt somewhat dated and reasonably bare and lacking in luxury. This I was fine with and in line with the price paid. I was not expecting luxury but for sure the rooms could be described as somewhat basic. It felt like I was in a vast 60’s office block that had been converted to a hotel. I had a reasonably good view across the rooftops of the adjacent buildings and perhaps it might be wise to try and get a room high up to ensure your view is not blocked by another low structure. My TV had poor reception, happy with the bathroom and the room was clean. But for sure the rooms are somewhat basic and I feel if you are seeking more of a hotel experience then this would not suit you. I felt it’s a hotel you crash in at the end of a busy day where your focus is exploring the city and not so much actually enjoying the hotel experience. I would definitely stay here again as it fine for my needs, great locations and reasonable price for what you get. But if you are seeking a full on luxury hotel experience this is not the right choice for you.

This hotel was perfect for a short stay on a budget. Close to the train station and Chinatown, this hotel was clean, comfortable with a delicious buffet breakfast included. The hosts were very welcoming. The view from the balcony was the beautiful skyline and river.

Very well located and generally clean, it's a basic room with breakfast for 30$, you can't expect too much but the basics, and that's good enough. The breakfast was surprisingly good and varied, with scrambled eggs, delicious ham and turkey, fruit, and a few Thai options such as cabbage and pork soups, rice, light stirfries etc. We found the bed to be particularly hard and due to my increasing back pain, had to rent a room in a different hotel for the last 2 nights of our stay in Bangkok. Walking distance to Chinatown and bus station + access to boat taxi were however particularly convenient for this price!
