We enjoyed staying at the Inn at Longwood. The accommodations were beautiful, clean and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed our meals at the Longwood Grille as the food and service were excellent. The Inn is in an ideal location to all hospitals. I highly recommend to anyone staying in Boston.

Good, except the manager on site

I visited the area for academic purposes, and the location of the Inn was good. However, even though I paid an absurd amount for my room, which was not worth it, and then for parking, parking is only up until 12 pm the next day. Every hour after 12, you have to pay for parking. Thus, I checked out early that morning and was looking to leave close to noon, to avoid paying the per-hour parking fee. However, I was unfortunately locked out of my car. I was of course really stressed and the great staff in the parking garage tried to help me with some tools and told me some local places that could help. Nevertheless, I ended up calling a towing company to help and after missing them the first time, I was left waiting for hours. The two young gentlemen were very kind and helped me as well, making sure I was able to charge my phone and even kept my stuff in the back while I walked around trying to find help. Eventually, it was 6 pm, and I had been waiting for hours. The towing company came and helped me. Upon leaving, the gentlemen in the garage told me that I had a special situation and should talk to the front desk so I did not have to pay for the 6 hours I was in the garage, as I was stuck. The young man at the desk was very understanding and started making me a card to get through the garage and not pay, as he knew I was trying to leave early on and was stressed. As he was doing this and about to hand me the card, the manager came out and told him to stop. He tells him not to help me and make me pay. The worker tried to explain my situation to the manager, and after cutting him off, the manager told him not to help me and make me pay, the worker had a shocked face. He walked me out to the garage and told the garage worker to make me pay, the worker seemed surprised too, and asked him if he was sure. The manager said yes, he has to pay, even if he was trying to leave hours ago. Then I tried to explain to him and he dared to tell me that they were "generous" enough to give me a discount for parking, as I didn't just pay hundreds and hindered of dollars to pay for parking and the stay before. I told him that I bought parking, and that had nothing to do with his "generosity." As I was paying, the garage worker kept apologizing for his manager's attitude and lack of sympathy. I understand paying, but there is space for kindness and customer service, and treating your guests like that is a lack of professionalism and service.

Hospital visit made less stressful

My husband needed an operation at Brigham & Women's hospital. This hotel is right down the street from the hospital. Although it was raining the entire two days we were there, it was not a bad experience. The hotel room was very clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel staff made our stressful time, less so by the information they provided and the kindness they expressed. The parking garage was ok and convenient. I was leery of walking up the street at 5:30 am to the hospital with my husband but the area was safe. The continental breakfast that was incorporated in the price of the room was appreciated also. My thanks to the hotel staff and the front desk manager Gaurav. I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing to stay in the hospital area.

Front desk service was excellent. Enjoyed the bar/grill which also had excellent service. Comfortable room with great linens/pillows. The family medical rate is great. The adjoining food court is a nice benefit. Location right in the middle of a dozen major medical institutions is great.

Hotel is located to a quite a few Boston Hospital making very convenient for staying. Bed and pillows were so comfortable after a long day of travel and sitting at hospital. Shower was big, room and bathroom very clean. All staff very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay again. The only bad thing is that the restaurant located in hotel is not open on weekends, but there are quite a few restaurants to chose from near by.
