The most exquisite and luxurious place to stay in Pelling is obviously this one. All the rooms have the unhindered view of Kanchenjunga..and best of furnishings in Rooms. The bathroom is an experience in itself with its separate sofa laden sitout for a smoke or after job drinks. The chef turns out lip smacking meals every time..How he manages that with roads cut off supplies dwindling is a Magician's act. The location the view the birds and the lighting are all world class. A big shout out for Mr Hussain and his team who promptly take care of your every demand and are your Best local guides. My special mention to the F&B team' of Mr Ashish, Suhana Santhi who are on their toes throughout with their attentive service.. Our demands of room comfort taken care by Sargam Balkrishna and innumerable many who made our stay so memorable. There are some engineering issues with the rooms so had to give 4* .Hot water pressure, intercom and TV Reception are minor issues which I'm sure Club Mahindra will sort out earliest. My best wishes to the team in their new Mahindra avatar and hope they keep up the personal touch always.

One of the best resort I must say. Each and every member over here are very welcoming. Room was super spacious and facilities were top notch. I would like to give special thanks to Pranav Verma . He arranged a beautiful bonfire night with lovely food and music on last day of our stay as a departing gift and my family throughly enjoyed it. This gesture really touched our heart. Thanks Pranav and Chumbi resort for everything. Will surely visit again soon…

Property is amazing, and in the midst of abundant greenery and nature. We as a family had spent 3 nights in this resort when it was transitioning into a Club Mahindra property, due to the transition several amenities were not functional which initially caused a great disappointment to us as we had two young children with us and most common facilities and kitchen preferences weren’t available and we were contemplating an early checkout from this property to another but the tables turned when we met Ashish, the F&B Manager who exemplified great customer care, he went out of his way to look after us during our stay, promised us to make arrangements for kids play area, movie screening, bonfire, and music etc. apart from catering to our preferred dining requests. He introduced us to another gentleman Shivam who ensured kids are fully engaged and entertained. He setup up a make shift play area for our children, organized a movie screening despite property challenges, and took our son for a morning trek. Both the gentlemen went an extra mile to look after us. I strongly recommend these two gentlemen in the property as exceptional service personnel and highly committed to their work. Also want to mention about the hotel manager Mr. Hussein who was always very courteous and looked after us very well. Overall staff was very pleasing and courteous right from our entrance to exit in the property and at all touch points. Highly recommend this place and their exceptional staff! 5 stars*****🤩

The Chumbi Mountain Retreat and Spa, Pelling is a premier hotel of West Sikkim, established by filmmaker and entrepreneur, Ugyen Chopel. It is a beautiful property, with the greatest attention to detail, in design and concept, designed for peace and tranquillity, in the serene presence of Kanchendzonga, in all its moods. The hotel has two restaurants, Golden Bamboo, serving multi- cuisine, and Denthang, serving traditional Sikkimese cuisine. It also has a wonderful bar, and film theatre, the passion of its versatile and creative proprietor. The rooms at Chumbi are well equipped with wonderful mountain views. One can also hope to bump into eclectic clientele. I met a travel writer with wide experience, particularly in Asia and West Asia,only slightly dented by the pandemic. So, if you would like to experience serenity, be pampered, and would like deep breaths of fresh mountain air, Chumbi Mountain Retreat and Spa, is the place to drive into, explore, curl up with a book, and just take in the breath taking view of Kanchendzonga. September through April are the best months to visit.
