Stayed here for a day. Staff did not provide hot water even after multiple followups. Extra mattress provided was old and full of dust. Food was okay. Service was pathetic for the price we paid. Would not reccommend to anyone.

What you See is not What You Get! The Worst Resort I Have Ever Been – Visited on April 2018

After visiting this resort on April 2018, I clearly understood the above quote and I regret on our selection of this resort just by reading the online reviews and photos, with out checking with any friends in Wayanad. For someone who is not Residing in India, the best way to choose and book holiday resort is by online. I have done the same thing, found this resort on trip advisor, and their reviews on every site were quite satisfying. So contacted them directly, asked to send me the latest pictures through WhatsApp. They send me the same pictures which is given here on the website and said everything is in same condition. Then asked me to transfer 2000 INR as an advance towards booking. I have transferred it to their bank and waited. When we have reached there the condition of the resort was so terrible and I haven’t been to a resort in such a bad condition. Totally opposite to what I have expected with the pictures they send me. The cottage was not at all clean. For a surprise to us none of the cottages are air-conditioned and even the fan was not working on that cottage which was allotted to us, as none of them are air-conditioned I don’t know how to survive with out a fan during hot summer. Pool in front of the highlighted pool view cottage was dirty and instead of fish you can find Frogs in it (Might be a unique feature/ variety way to surprise the gust again). If we stand outside the cottage for few minutes the mosquitos will not bite but will start to eat covering you. Swimming Pool Then the condition of the swimming pool was so dirty as you can see the Green slime water in the picture attached. I don’t think in the near future it got cleaned and in a day or two the water in a swimming pool will not turn dirty and green like this. My Plan was to Stay there for 2-3 Days, and to visit other places of interest in Wayanad. Every thing got ruined because of this bad selection. I have asked them why you have cheated us by sending Old /Photoshop edited images with out showing the actual images. They didn’t have an answer to that. I have asked them to refund the amount I paid as an advance towards my booking, as I don’t want to get sick by staying in such a bad un-tidy environment like this. The person who was there as an in-charge was saying only one thing to all my query, either I can stay there or can take 50% of my advance (ie 1000 INR) and vacate. For someone who’s with family and don’t want to make a quarrel the best option was to take the 50% and leave. The person didn’t even bother to give a receipt for that. Loosing 1000 rupees is not big issue but they simply cheated us by providing the fake information via telephone and WhatsApp. From my experience, I feel like many of the previous reviews are not Real or Up to date and I am writing this as I don’t want to misguide any travelers to Wayanad and ruin their holidays by making the same mistake I did. These are the facts which I have experienced few Weeks back. Please be wise on your selection. Thank you! PS: With the help of my friends in Wayanad, I found another good resort in Vythiri the same evening and shifted to there.

We as a couple from Bangalore stayed here for 2 days in Aug '08 and this place more than met our expectation from a budget resort. Highlights: - In the midst of actual forest right next to a main road. Got the jungle camping experience with the crickets chirping all night long. - Excellent connectivity if coming by car with adequate parking - Has a stream passing right through this property. which is awesome. - Complimentary simple breakfast (bread butter coffee south indian dishes etc) - Staff is extremely courteous and non-intrusive. - Pool is present though felt dirty, though might not matter to most who are used to jumping in mud puddles - Couple friendly place TIP: Do not hesitate to ask for discount on the tariff. After visiting Edakkal Caves and Pookode Lake and being disappointed with both places we felt that we were better off spending time right here in the resort for the RnR we went to Wayanad for.
