There's nothing Deluxe in this Hotel. See the pics. Staffs are not friendly at all. They don't know how to greet the tourists. while check-in complimentary soaps weren't given. there was no one to carry our bags to the room and had to climb 3 floors which top floor which means it's very hot. during night while sleeping there were so many mosquitoes and we couldn't sleep the whole night and also climate was very hot. next morning we ask one guy at the reception about Mosquito repellent machine and complimentary soaps. he said I booked the room thru goibibo so I will not get such things. in the evening after returning from sight seeing there was some other guy at reception and we asked him why no soaps and Mosquito repellent wasn't given. he was shocked and asked us who refused to give. we pointed to that guy who refused to give. we then decided to sleep in AC room as we couldn't sleep that night. I understand that we have to pay extra for AC room and I agreed. we were then given the key and a guy accompanied us to check the ac room. my wife and I thought the AC is working so we we went to 3rd floor to pack our clothes and bring them to 1st floor. that guy still didn't help us with luggages although he came with us to 3rd floor. Came back to activate room, we found that AC was still on but the room wasn't cool. that guy took some time to play with ac remote. he went down n sent some other fellow. he too couldn't do. we moved the other account room. next room ac too was giving problem. again we had to move to third room and finally we were satisfied. but bathroom is this room has broken commode frame (see pic attached). there's no clealiness and maintenance of AC at all. In all rooms there's a small poster mentioned mobile numbers to contact for room service and canteen service and none of these numbers work. So my dear fellow friends, this hotel is not worth staying if you want to have peaceful holidays.

Neat and cleanly maintained. Value for the money. No restaurant or room service. Go for it if you want a budget hotel and family stay. Closely located to beach and restaurants. A nice Saibaba temple in front of this hotel.

Tell you what, i got a bad deal online!!..this was a first for me. I had to make a hurried booking for Karwar, went online, couldnt get anything in the budget that the official trip was offering, and finally had to settle for this on Cleartrip.com. They charged me 1000 bucks a night..when i landed there the room was going for 850 a night. Also, there was no option for a single room available online, only a double non ac. You dont need ac here in february. The single non ac costs 550 a night. So if you are single, on a tight budget, this single non ac fits the bill. I had made the full payment in advance, and there was 0 refund, so couldn't change my room. So no cleartrip next time. The room is clean. Nothing great about the linen and bathtowels. Bathroom is clean. The young men/boys who work there are from obviously disadvantaged sections of society and most of them come from far flung parts of the country as local labour is no longer willing to work at the salaries offered...and its not a very pleasant sight to see them lying around in dirty clothes all over the place, but i am very clear i am not blaming them. One of them, while carrying food to a room, was using the spoon to scratch his back..so that meant i wasnt gonna order no room service there, thats for sure. There is the famous Amruth hotel right across the road, with lip smacking sea food. Its also close to the beach. And they don't have filtered water on the premises! They will give you well water. But you can get mineral water, 30 bucks for 2 litres, at the stall right outside.

This is a rather shabby hotel in a rather shabby town. The rooms are clean-ish, bedding OK. There is no food available in the hotel, but there are a couple of restaurants nearby. Across the road there is a useful agency who will change money and get you railway tickets.

Karwar is a small town that boasts of neither high-end hotels nor too many hotels. The few present were also completely booked out post 25th December. With no other options left, we booked ourselves here for a night. There are no hotels with a beach view in Karwar and this one too is located inside just off the main market road, a few hundred meters away from the Karwar beach. One can easily walk down to the market for meals and shopping and to the beach, from the hotel. The hotel itself is an absolute no-frills, super-low budget hotel. The reception is unimpressive with a lot of men / boys sleeping around in the corridor. The hotel has no lifts - we were luckily on the first floor. The amenities are bare minimum - the towels are old and smelly and the stuff provided in the washrooms is retrograde. Never stayed in a dharamshala, but i guess this hotel comes really close to it. The saving grace is the tiny canteen attached to the hotel and run by an amazing local lady - we had hot vada sambhar for breakfast and crisp pakodas in the evening with a delicious hari chatni. The staff is very courteous and helpful though there was massive confusion on allocating us rooms despite our pre-booking. Recommended only if you are on a super shoe-string budget or the entire Karwar is booked out.
