I travel to Hanoi often though this is my first stay at the Pan Pacific Hanoi. Great experience. All the staff were friendly, helpful and took the extra effort to know your name, your wants and likes. (For you new travelers, everyone spoke proficient English). I had access to the Pacific Club lounge and the team there provides outstanding service and kindness without bothering you ;>) a great balance. A special shout out to last night's team - Trang, Yen, Tham - delightful. The food is good too!!

The Pan Pacific Hanoi is an excellent choice for travelers who appreciate a touch of luxury while still seeking a well-priced stay. Located in the heart of Hanoi, it offers beautiful views over West Lake and is conveniently close to the Old Quarter! We have stayed at the Pan Pacific Hotel many times while visiting Hanoi. The staff has made our stay the best. A special shout-out to QuynhTrang, Huy, and the rest of the crew in the Club lounge! You truly made our stay so memorable! "Michael Jordan" sends his best, too! A few things to note: The best seat for breakfast is along the window, where you can get a great view of the busy streets of Hanoi. Don't miss the flower ladies! Great Pho, too. It's not a long walk to the Old Quarter and has excellent views of the city and lakes. Thank you, Pan Pacific, and we wish everyone the best!

My third visit to Hanoi and staying at the PPHAN has always been something to look forward to and my choosing to repeat it once again sums up why the hotel scores a 5* in all areas. I would, if allowed to, rate it higher as that is the service the hotel and each and every member of its staff accords their guests. EVERYONE is treated as a VIP here and the members of staff go out of their way to meet each individual's needs. A special thank you to Ms Hue for all that she did to ensure I had a very comfortable room set up prior to my arrival, nothing was missed. The Pacific Club lounge was where I spent a lot of time at when back at the hotel, as the friendly and very caring and attentive staff were always ready to welcome me back with a freshly squeezed pineapple juice and stop to chat- friendly faces like Linh, Tham, Thinh...there are so many, the list goes on...Binh, Huy, Judy (Anh), Evelyn. I do apologise if I left out anyone's name, but I will always remember the beautiful smiles I was always treated to-a special something I've come to associate with the team at the Pan Pacific Hanoi. At every meal in the lounge-be it breakfast, afternoon tea or evening cocktails one can always look forward to an extensive array of local foods and the lovely Linh and Thinh were always very keen to share in detail the ingredients and preparation of each new savoury or sweet. What especially stands out for me is how very outstanding members of staff like Ha on the concierge/bellman team, Linh and Hue truly remember their guests and what they like. They go the extra mile to ensure I bring home a bit of Hanoi, even checking in on me prior to my departure, to help me pack spring roll wrappers, rice noodles, Vietnamese coffee, rice snacks and MORE... I marvel at their patience and attentiveness, despite their long, busy days ensuring nothing is left out, even if it means heading out to the markets before or after work. Such is the attentiveness and care showered on guests. It's this very personal touch extended to guests that makes me want to return. Both ways, airport-hotel-airport transfers were taken care of very smoothly and efficiently and the experienced drivers arranged by Ha, ensured a very comfortable and safe ride. I could go on showering very well-deserved praise on the outstanding team who go over and above their call of duty to ensure guests to the property are cared for-this is what makes a hotel stand out and these very special members of staff deserve special recognition. On each visit, I met new faces-some newly qualified and many serving their internship. They all worked to serve guests very graciously and under the supervision of their very experienced and knowledgeable line managers, putting into practise what they'd learnt in their course of study. Linh in the lounge and also Tuan now gaining experience and widening his job scope, at the front desk, both of whom I met on my first trip when they were trainees are now examples of dedicated employees who have grown in their role. Given the experience an employee like Linh now displays and dedication to her role, I would not be surprised to see her rise to the challenge of taking on a supervisory or management role when I next visit. Similarly I was not surprised to see Ha who stood out on my last visit in his role as a driver, now taking on the position of Concierge/Bellman. Each time I have visited, I take time to write a review as each stay has been made very special in more ways than one. The very well maintained, clean, bright rooms with scenic lake views, comfortable beds and a large, pristine clean bathroom with bathtub and exquisite toiletries, ensure guests are treated to a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. It is a delight to wake up each morning to a beautiful sunrise from your room on clear days and starting the day sipping a coffee or tea seated by the large windows, taking in the beautiful view is something to be marvelled at. Hue thoughtfully assigned me a room within close proximity to the elevators and Cub Lounge and added a very thoughtful gesture of having flowers, fruit and nuts set up to welcome me. Such are the tiny gestures guests can look forward to, while also knowing one has the added advantage of being so close to the lounge where there is always a smiling face to greet you and offer you a favourite drink when staying on the Club floor. So convenient was the lounge with easy accessibility, I also enjoyed having delicious local dishes served here at meal times- dishes like 'buncha' and 'pho' which once again can be savoured while looking out to the lakes. On this stay, I was taken on a stroll of the Central Local market in the Old Quarters, where Ha took me around, shopping for local specialities like cashew nuts, peanuts, dried mango and other souvenirs, not forgetting the ride to the traditional coffee-beans store. I look forward to many more visits to Hanoi and staying among familiar faces who now feel more like my extended family. If you are reading this review, and contemplating a visit to Hanoi, do not hesitate to make the Pan Pacific Hotel your place of abode. The PPHAN team will not disappoint from the moment you are welcomed, with their very genuine smiles and warm greeting and that is only chapter 1 of a memorable recount you can also experience.

Excellent hotel. Great location for exploring the local area. We much preferred this to the ‘French quarter’ further into the town. We loved the little island at bottom of the lake. And the roof top bar was so nice. Great views and lovely cocktails. Lovely, friendly staff. Good sized room. All very clean. Great breakfasts too. We would definitely stay here again.
