A solo day stay with remote working

It was a one day travel to attend a function. Since the event was in the evening, I decided to work through the day. I chose Sai Suraj as it was in the neighbourhood. The choice turned out to be very good. Hotel management was flexible to provide a day stay, air conditioning was perfect, room provided right sound proofing for peaceful work, and the best part was the Wi-Fi that provided shameless and uninterrupted connectivity. With their in-house restaurant, I could get some awesome food also into the room time-to-time. Though this is not a business hotel, my experience of remote work was very good. The staff was courteous and supportive.

Very budget Hotel. Taps leaking not maintained properly. Slightly away from Surathkal bus stand. For Non-Veg food service & quality of food is very poor takes a very long time to serve. Basically, it’s more of a Bar than a restaurant.

Absolutely the best hotel and restaurant in Surathkal, though the hotel will not qualify to be a 3 star rating on normal rating standards , the 5 star rating is for being the best among comparable hotels in Surathkal. Adequate rooms, prompt service, good veg food. Location near the Surathkal junction is also an advantage.

This is one of the few hotels in the Suratkal township on the highway between Mangalore and Udupi. Since this location is between both cities, there isn't much choice by way of hotels and s if one must stay here, this is about as good as its going to get. Rooms are very basic. Bed. Table. Chair. CRT TV. The bathrooms are kept clean but they are old and musty. The AC worked well and therefore we got some respite from the humid and hot Mangalore weather. The only thing not comfortable was the bed. Its too spongy so you sink in and don't feel well rested. Service was quick and the staff are very pleasant. Also, pretty reasonable.

Hotel is at good location and is very near to surathkal beach. it needs little maintenance and since it has restaurants in the ground floor (Veg) and first floor (Non Veg), we see parking problem in side their premise sometimes but can be parked on the road side and after 10:00PM can be parked inside their premise, otherwise it is good. Staffs are good and helpful. I recommend this for budget stay.
