I have been staying at this hotel for 25 years and always enjoy my stay. The staff are always polite, helpful and efficient. Breakfast was very good in the 7th floor restaurant, which has some of the best views in Athens. The room was very clean and comfortable, although there seemed to be some confusion between an executive room and a deluxe room. I thought the executive room I had booked had a balcony but mine did not. The hotel is well situated and I was able to walk to all of the sights in the city that I had intended to see.

Location is brilliant. View from room fabulous. Staff are friendly. However, the room keys only worked once and then they needed resetting. The only other thing was this morning at breakfast, I sat down and after about one minute I realised that I felt damp. I stood up immediately and examined the chair - the cushions were soaking. I'm not sure if someone had come up from the swimming pool or the chair had been left out in the rain. I needed to dry my trousers before we coul go out. As we were leaving the hotel today it wasn't possible to leave dry in the room. Other than that, lovely hotel.

Great position smart shiny building, helpful staff, quiet, Why are the phone charging points at floor level so I have to grovel around on the floor every night to charge my phone. The door cards are horribly unreliable, a receptionist told me even if it's close to a credit card magnetic stripe thats enough to corrupt the stripe on the door card. Has to renew mine daily. Does no-one use an electric shaver any more? No shaver point and no shaving mirror.

Very disappointing experience overall: although the terrace bar and the restaurant (and their staff) were excellent, everything else was below par. The rooms were very tired and - like others have said here - not enough sockets, tired decor, old bathroom fittings including an old shower curtain, no tea/coffee-making facilities. Luckily we brought a small flask and tea bags but we had to go and get hot water from the breakfast room which was down one lift and up another (we were NOT allowed to take cups to the room even though we were eating breakfast in there later). The pool - and the area around it - wasn’t open although they cleaned it every day we were there! It was 22 degrees and sunny so we were looking forward to sitting by the pool later in the day - this didn’t make sense to us but were told it was ‘maintenance’. I wasn’t well and wasn’t able to go sightseeing so I just wanted to sit quietly with a book in the fresh air; every day the cleaners literally cleaned around me on the terrace and on the last day I was told it was closed; again, this made no sense, especially as the pool was closed too, leaving no outside areas to sit in. The breakfast was awful: no fruit salad, which is pretty basic even for a hostel, let alone a so-called quality hotel. The coffee was weak and the staff were less than welcoming (in sharp contrast with the evening staff who were professional and excellent). The rest of the food was very basic and usually cold. All in all, disappointing and not what we expected.

what a lovely looking hotel, the lifts are a bit quirky but the rooms are more than adequate and the rooftop bar/restaurant is lovely with great views. The reception area is large but staffed with helpful and approachable people. The location is on a busy road but close to crossings giving easy and quick access to shops, restaurants and sights.
