We were on an impromptu visit to Varanasi. On enquiring about the availability of rooms by phone before we started, we were assured a room in the hotel by the reservation desk. As a result, we didn't check up from other hotels. On reaching the hotel, we realized that there was hardly any parking for guests and the sight in reception reminded us of a busy bus station with a large number of guests waiting to be checked in/ out. Since we have had very good experiences with the Radisson chain, we tried to ask for the room as was informed. We were really disappointed when we were told that there were no rooms available. The way the entire situation was handled was uncalled for and left a bitter taste.

We went to India with my husband for only three weeks in March . In general our stay was good at the Radisson hotels we we stayed. We stayed two days at Radisson Varanasi. Breakfast and food at restaurant was not good, breakfast was very poor and lack of service. Dinner was not good at all. The best was Housekeeping, very clean and excellent from Harish.

Staff need to be trained how to serve and not to cross the table. All plates and cutlery should be cleared for customers to continue with their dishes. Also they should learned to speak to customers in English. This is a 5* Hotel and customers come from different parts of the world. So if someone speak to them in English they should learn to reply in English.

We stayed for 2 nights at the property. Rooms are good and staff is excellent. Special mention to Anup at restaurant East West; humble and great guy for his role. At reception we would like to thank Ayush and Vivek for their extraordinary hospitality. Great team wins the heart.
