Hotel is good. Rood service is poor. They refused to send room boy to help checkout. It would be good to assist during room checkout to bring the luggage to the reception especially to women guests who suffered by taking their luggage by themselves during checkout.

Ram Residency - Thumbs Down

I stayed for 2 nights in a deluxe double a/c room. The ambiance and facilities inside the room was very nice and comfortable. But since it is a new hotel, this is the ambiance as the architect had designed it. There is not much of regular maintenance. The bathroom and toilet were contrastingly very ordinary. There was no hot water in the morning. Since there are frequent power cuts in Tamilnadu, the power kept switching off every 1 to 2 hours. Though the generator switched on in a few seconds, the a/c did not switch on by itself. I had to manually power-on the a/c at least 5-6 times in the night. So rule out the thought of an uninterrupted sound sleep. The conference hall ambiance was again nice. The PA system was nice. Again maintenance was lacking. The roof mounted LCD projector had to be secured by at least 5 metres of 2 inch cellotape to be secure. The VGA cable was not working, and we had to replace it by ourselves. Food was average. The restaurant ambiance was very ordinary. The lift had a sensor problem and the doors would make several irritating attempts to close, before it finally closed. The staff replied questions mechanically There was no polish or sophistication in them though. The manager was particularly rude and would begin to shout at the slightest provocation. When we pointed out some defect, for example the LCD Projector, his reply was very shockingly curt : "This is how it is. Take it or leave it. Other people are happy with our facility, why are you complaining ?" During the program in the hall, we needed more space for people, since the hall was congested. There were at least 80 extra chairs stacked up on all the sides. But the manager refused to remove the chairs out of the hall, to create more space. Not only did this hider our movement, but it also affected the look of the hall. If at all this hotel has any plus point, it is its proximity to the bus stand and the railway station. If you intend to have the room at a low cost, this hotel is OK at Rs.1500, with a 24 hour checkout.
