Mala Inn

Miserable stay at Hotel Mala Inn (CIT Nagar), Chennai

This has been the most pathetic stay of my life. The hotel did not match any specification or images that were shown while booking on GoIbibi. In fact the images on the web are of another hotel under the same management. Hence, we felt betrayed not only by the hotel but also by GoIbibo. I thought that GoIbibo does their due diligence before data is added on their website, but this experience showed that this is not the case. This should not be even classified as a hotel, may be a lodge. We were greeted in the room by a filthy filled dust bin. The bed was ancient and made noise on the slightest of touches which made sure that all of us including my 2 yr old son stayed awake most of the night. Concepts of room cleaning, room service, change of bed sheets, change of bins does NOT exist here. Obviously, there was no restaurant either. We stayed unfortunately for 2 days and no one came to the room for any of the above. However, we were extremely disappointed when on the day of checkout there was a person who was on our face for 5 times within 30 minutes to tell us to vacate (as 24 hours was about to pass). When I told him that he had not even bothered to clean the bin, why was he in such a hurry and requested to call his manager, he was behaving better. Travelers reading this please make sure you turn away from this place or you will face a nightmare.I am disappointed with GoIbibo for providing inaccurate information thereby making our travel extremely difficult and also wasting our money.
