The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, which I appreciate very much. The fan (for the heater) is very loud. However, this was probably a positive for me, as I am a light sleeper, and was not woken up by outside noise. It helped that the fan didn't turn on and off, and that I was on the 11th floor. The rooms provide just enough room-- not small as European no frills hotels, but not super spacious. My main concern with this hotel (and this is the second time I stayed) is that I don't think it's cleaned well enough. The floor in the room was probably not mopped, as I felt dust on my feet and could see debris along the walls and corners. I think more thorough dusting, mopping, and cleaning of bathroom countertops (not just a wipe), would instil more confidence in customers.

The hotel is located sort of near the Bell Centre and has a subway entrance (green line) nearby for convenience of getting around. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building needs some updating as the elevator ceiling panel has obvious debris and things that you can see through the panel. The hallways and exterior doors to the rooms had a fair bit of surface damage (scratches, dents, patch jobs, etc). The room itself was very cute and the bed was comfortable. It’s on a busy street but we didn’t hear anything from it during our stay. We did, however, hear every word from the person in the room next to ours. In our case, she was on speaker phone talking to people starting at 6 am and was still talking when we went to bed (usually around 11 pm) so that was a bit annoying. Further sound proofing of the room would be great. There is valet parking which is convenient but the valet changes the mirrors, seating position, and steering wheel so be sure to take some time to readjust the car before you leave.

Spacious, clean rooms. Sheets and towels were changed daily. Friendly staff spoke French and English. Great restaurant, bar and nice breakfast. Wonderful location that was centrally located. Giovanni was an excellent host. I would stay here again with my family of six.

Sens rated as a 4* Boutique Hotel. Lobby & restraurant decor is nice however thats where my positive experience ended. The common area on floor 11 was never properly vacuumed daily as the same residue was seen on the carpet unkept/uncleaned each day during my stay. As I unpacked and walked around I noticed how dirty the floor was & my feet as well. I immediately contacted the front desk to inform of this & after returning from dinner did not notice much improvement nor the scent of a freshly mopped floor. I awake the following day to temps of 78° on the AC adjusted that morning. Prior to departing around 3pm I informed the front desk the temps were not cooling. Upon returning around 10pm the AC issue still had not been resolve. I contacted Eyad at front desk TWICE b/f maintenance/security appeared & tried to adjust/reprogram to no avail. At this point I asked front desk for immediate resolution. Eyad came to my room with a fan, apologized, stated he would document & report to Hotel mgmt the issues I encountered on my Rm record & I could speak w mgmnt regarding issues & refund. The next morning at 9am (7/14) as I was checking out I requested to speak with Mgr on duty & was informed no one was currently onsite. I then asked if Eyad dictated notes from incidences occurred & was informed the only thing noted was a fan was delivered. I asked for GM & Mgr contact info & if I would be refunded for the terrible evening prior. Female would not comply w my request for invoice stating I would receive frm my 3rd party booking source. Although I knew this was a FLAGRANT lie it was proven by the email invoice I received from the SENS on 7/15 via email. As one who reads reviews to establish if a property is worthy of my hard earned money for leisure I'm recommending all to steer clear of this property until the Tidan Group resolves their abhorrent staffing/management issues. **I called later on 7/14 in another attempt to speak w mgmt & was informed Melanie was absent from work & no one else at the property could assist me with the issues I'd reported. I also took photos of dirty common areas & AC which never cooled**

Charged us for a negligently built broken bed. The worst customer service I've ever experienced.

The second evening of my stay, I'm sitting quietly on my bed, playing a game on my Steam Deck, and I hear a crack! Keep in mind that I was not even moving, just laying on the bed! I pull the mattress aside and see that the entire bedframe is one THIN plank of cheap particle board that was now broken in pieces (see photos 1-3), hardly adequate for a bedframe and definitely only a matter of time before it would break. I looked at the bedframe my friend was using on next to me (we booked a 2 queen room) and their bedframe support was not only twice the width, but also made of much sturdier and flexible plywood! (See photo 4). Clearly our bedframe was the result of a previous repair, and whoever performed the repair was negligent and did not rebuild it to code. We figured we'd go down to the front desk and they'd handle it (we would have called but the room’s phones were broken) - move us to a new room or give us a cot - whatever, just as long as we had something sturdy to sleep on. But no, the night manager on duty informed us that after sending up a maintenance person to assess the bedframe, they can't move us (she said they were fully booked, which was a lie, online I found plenty of rooms available) but that they would be CHARGING US $100 for the damage in ADDITION to a $15 fee to rent a cot! I was absolutely furious at this point. She said that a broken bed had never ever occurred in her 4 years of being a manager at the hotel (doubtful), all their beds are built the exact same (not true, see photos) and therefore we are responsible to pay the damage fee. Regardless, how is being the first to have the misfortune of sitting on negligently constructed bed that collapsed in on itself is justification for being charged an extra fee?! I was absolutely dumbfounded at her response, so I had her follow me up to my room (see photo 5) so that I could demonstrate that our bed was not built to spec. I showed her both bedframes and she did not budge an inch. She said that they were both the same and would were built to the same standards, even though the dimensions and materials were completely different. She said that they "should" hold up the same. I agree - both beds "should" be built to the same standards and specifications, but indeed they were NOT. That does not fall to me to pay the price for their shoddy workmanship that might lead to discomfort, or worse - injury of a guest. The phones "should" work, and yet they did not. Do I have to pay to repair those too, I asked? Of course not, she said. Well, I fail to see how the two are different. Eventually, she offered free parking (we didn't drive), waiving of a the $15 cot fee (why were we charged this to begin with?) and free breakfast the next morning (no thanks, I couldn't stomach staying in this place a minute longer than necessary). I found these pathetic placations totally insulting. All I wanted was to not be charged EXTRA for something that was 100% their fault! That's all. The one thing that she offered of value was that the Front Office Manager would be available the next morning at 9AM. After a stressful night's sleep, we spoke with Front Office Manager and told her our room # - she let us know that the charges had already been taken off! Oh, and that this happens all the time, and that it was obvious we weren't there to trash the room. (Of course, why would we break the bed and then immediately report it?) Quite a different experience from dealing with the night manager. If this had been our first encounter with their customer service, this review would have been positive for a great location, decent price and clean room. The FOM was kind and efficient. She didn't offer anything extra to make up for the previous night's disaster of a time (no discount on the current or future stay), but at least she did the right thing by not punishing us for having a terrible experience. Needless to say we won't be returning, and will avoid the Marriott family of hotels in the future.
