Stayed here for 4 nights while in Athens. We stayed in an 'urban' room which we did not like on arrival, we asked to be moved but were told the hotel was full. The room was very small and very dark even with every light on. The shower was a disabled wet room type also, which we didnt like. There was nowhere to put any clothes, only a few hangers. A small desk with a few coffees and teas but no milk and a small fridge and safe. The tv only has a few English channels which are the usual news channels. The room door opens outwards which could be an issue if there were 3 rooms all opening at once in the end of corridor that we were in. The room card is quite hit and miss too, you have to keep trying which in the mean time, someone could open their door and hit you. The hotel is very near Omonia metro with easy access to the hop on buses too. There are quite a lot of homeless people down the side streets, most of them openly taking drugs, so best stay to the main roads. There is a roof terrace and you can see the Acropolis from there. No bar at this hotel though, so you have to get your own drinks to take up to the terrace. Breakfast was ok and the serving staff kept everything topped up and tables cleared quickly. I think if we were to stay here again, we would avoid the 'urban' rooms. The Accropolis is within walking distance, approx 25 mins walk.

Overall a good experience. The reception staff in particular were incredibly welcoming and helpful. A variety of food and drinks available at the free breakfast, and received Prosecco on arrival! The room was a decent size for solo travel and comfortable. The only negatives for me were my air conditioning unit broke on the second night, quite late at night, but reception arranged for an engineer to fix it as soon as possible the next morning, which I appreciated. Occasionally the tablet provided with the room can be slow and takes a while to sync up with lighting etc. If you are concerned about the area, the hotel is on a main road and minutes away from the metro station. There’s a number of hotels and kiosks on the road so there are quite a few people around. As you would in any city, if you stick to the main roads and well lit areas, you should be ok!

Would say its a 3 star hotel but I expeced 4. Stayed in the old(?) part of the hotel - our room was size-wize ok but it was a bit clastrofobic and dark (brown). There was an android tablet to control all the light and it was ok when it worked. But when you start the tablet app it took up to 2-3 miutes before the app buttons was indeed working. A bit too long to be honest. Staff was ok and the brekfast too but nothing to be excited over.

We stayed at the hotel and the 3nights we were they we never got the room I had booked and paid extra for! 3nights 3different rooms & bathroom door lock broke and teenager got stuck inside for 45mins whilst receptionist tried to break the lock. Manager tried to blame 17year old for breaking the lock however we have photo proof that door wasn’t stable in the first place and doubt fire safety is ever considered with that building! I’m only glad it wasn’t my young child getting locked in as anxiety would have hit the roof! Definitely not safe to shut the heavy doors in case this happens to you. The hotel didn’t even have on site maintenance and the tools were shocking. I couldn’t even unpack my suitcase as the receptionist lied to me saying the room I booked wasn’t available the first night and then the second night she moved us and the air con didn’t work and tried blaming it on us but when the maintenance man came to check he said there was a problem so moved us again for the last night! We are sure that our bags which were left in the room were messed with by the house keeping as well! Just wouldn’t recommend the place at all. The manager thinks that by giving us a free meal excluding water which we had to pay for makes us for it all but it doesn’t! They shouldn’t of treated us the way they did. They need to take responsibility and fix issues in the hotel! The iPad screen was cracked as well as other issues!

Omg, This is the First Smart Hotel in Athens and I was privileged enough to experience this.. I’m not a Spring Chicken and this hotel allowed me to participate in what’s happening in our Futuristic World. This hotel introduced and taught me how to control my room lights, bathroom lights, shower lights and opening and closing my window curtains with a touch of a button on a IPad that was provided Free of charge by the hotel!! What fun I had living in The New Modern Age!!! The hotel Staff was very friendly and attentive to my questions about the areas. The Complimentary Breakfast had a wide assortment of dishes to make you feel like a Greek God and Greek Princess, along with Beverages like Greek Coffees , Tea’s, Mimosas and Healthy Blood Mary’s..😂 I truly enjoyed the hotels location. Close to The Famous Acropolis, Shops, Souvenir Shops Restaurants and the Subway Train that takes you anywhere you need to go. If you are visiting Greece for the first time or if you are returning on a Greece visit, Experience The Brown Cubic Hotel!! I’m Vikki The Realtor in Queens NY. Speaking from my Heart ❤️ 3/12/24
