Upgraded to a corner suite in the hope of getting a nice panoramic view... but that was a bust. It was like a normal room but with one additional tiny little window on the second wall next to the bed. Definitely not worth the price. I was surprised at how dated the room looked too. Their snack bar is cashless and serves terrible food. The shower was frustrating because it was virtually impossible to get it to a comfortable temperature. There was a bunch of noise outside after 1am. It turns out that local hooligans shut down the intersection and were squealing their tires and setting off fireworks until a bunch of police came and dispersed them. Classy neighborhood! I also never saw an employee at the Bell Desk in 2 whole days. On the plus side, the hotel was a ghost town and it was very quiet on site with almost no other customers and quick elevator service. Also, all of the employees I interacted with were very friendly. The WiFi and heating unit both worked well. You could certainly do worse than staying at the Hyatt but you aren't getting good value for your money. Ultimately, I think places such as this are always "critic proof" anyways because of their location. If people want to be near the convention center then they are willing to overpay for a mediocre experience just for the sake of convenience.

Was here to compete in a 4-day athletic event. Most important thing to me is cleanliness and bed comfort. Both met my high expectations. Room was very clean and the bed was clean and very comfortable. Walls were a bit thin, which I learned on night 3. Could hear a woman laughing all night long, which resulted in poor sleep. The woman wasn't even being loud--it was just the thin walls masked nothing. The next day, I inquired about changing my room to one with no neighbors, which the hotel staff was more than happy to do, but as it turned out, the previous neighbor checked out, and there was no new neighbor scheduled to be checked in, so all was well and quiet again, and there was no need to change rooms. But it was nice knowing I had the option. Our room was cleaned daily and the housekeeping staff did a superb job. The restaurants were rarely open, but it didn't affect me much. Prices at the small cafe are high, but the food options there were pretty decent. The hotel is in a nice part of the city, and I felt very safe walking around the nearby area. As for the Hotel Staff... They are incredible, honest, and the most helpful staff I've ever encountered at a hotel. After i checked out and arrived at the airport, 50 minutes away from the hotel, I realized I left my entire purse in the hotel safe! Since I had my ID on me, I was able to fly home, rather than having to Uber back to the hotel and back to the airport again, which would have been an additional $200. The front desk gentleman called security to retrieve my purse. From there, the purse was logged into the Lost and Found through Housekeeping. The front desk walked me through (twice, bless him!) how to file the claim through a third party website called "ileftmystuff.com". From there, Lupe, in Housekeeping, who was the nicest most helpful soul, helped expedite shipping the purse back to me. She even personally drove the package over to the UPS drop-off center. My purse arrived on my door step the next day, with all of my contents (wallet, credit cards, cash, etc) accounted for. Throughout all of the panic and worry I was feeling, the Hyatt McCormick staff was calm and reassuring, which is why I decided to fly home and have them ship my purse, rather than return to the hotel and risk missing my flight. They are amazing and I am so grateful to them! Thank you, Hyatt Regency McCormick Place!

The location of the hotel is perfect when attending events at McCormick Convention Center. The hotel rooms are spacey, clean and well maintained and offer a relaxing space after long days at the convention. The elevators are fast and efficient, no long waits for the elevator. All the staff was very friendly and helpful.

It is what you expect from Hyatt. Great hotel / great service and very convenient if you are attending at trade show at McCormick! I love it as it is easy to get to from Midway too! There is not much to do around the hotel so if you have more free time something closer to Michigan Ave might be better but if you are just in for a show - this hotel makes it very east,

4 night stay during IHA Show. If you are attending a convention it is the most convient place to stay as it is connected. The bar and restuarants are good and the work out room is excellent. Roms are large and well lit for work. Overall a very good place to stay if you are attending an event at the Convention center
