Terrible way to have a first contact with India

I reached Delhi counting on a fully prepaid room at this hotel. Because of some COVID restriction they told me that the room was not there. They did not offer any alternative or help, leaving us on the street at 3am in Delhi for two nights. Also, we asked for the logical refund. They promised to refund the room the next day but they have not. We got cheated because of the situation and were pushed to pay INR18.000+INR12.000 (total 30K!), which is crazy and above what we can afford, to leave Delhi with an obscure driver in an old car.

A budget hotel in New Delhi

Located close to New Delhi railway station at Paharganj side, this hotel is indeed located in a very congested area. But their facilities were good. Car parking was secured, food was good, rooms were clean, staffs were indeed very helpful. But the hotel could be managed better with a fresh coat of paint and a facelift. Our room AC broke down at the middle of night but they promptly offered me an equally good room at the earliest possible time. I appreciate their etiquette and helping nature,

I must say this hotel had very good rooms at a great price ... If you are travelling through train from New Delhi railway station and need a place to stay this is the one . The staff was warm and welcoming as well :)

A very nice hotel, nice staff and okay room. It's close to New Dehli station, not a particularly nice walk though. If you're thinking you can get the metro to the airport, you will be disappointed unless you walk there (a lot of steps though) As the airport metro is on the wrong side of the tracks and any taxi or tuktuk would take 25-30mins to get there because of the flyover.

It was my first time in India and I arrived alone in New Delhi. Choosing this hotel was a good decision. A taxi was waiting for me and brought me directly to the hotel even though my plane was more than 2 hours late. The rooms are good, there is AC so it helped me go through 2 days in Delhi where I could barely stand the heat. The staff was helpful and the restaurant is nice. Overall, it was a good experience.
