Very worst experience that me, my mom and my sister has ever experienced. Not worth at all for the price although we ended up paying 2500/-. Room windows are damaged and mosquitoes are flying all over the room and beds are not proper, one bed is broken and finally its a smoked room with tobacco smell all over the room, upon complaining they just sprayed the room freshener and left, the room is right next to recpetion no 302 i guess. Never and ever i would recommend family specially. This will just spoil your time and peace.. very disappointed, not worth even a single room.

My spouse and I stayed at The Retreat Hotel for five nights in a deluxe room priced at Rs. 2500 per night. The room is located on the third floor and is very spacious with a bed that can accommodate two. A separate smaller sized bed is also provided next to the main one. The deluxe room also includes a smart TV, a refrigerator, A/C, fan, and various other furniture support. Nice. The attached bath includes geyser and a big bucket that we used when bathing (drawing the water from the bucket, Tamil style). As a Tamilian, I liked the hotel stay. Support staff (Mr. Rajan, Mr. Aravind, and Mr. Ganesh) were courteous and readily helped with making our stay comfortable. The hotel is located at the Camp Road junction so any item one wishes to buy is just a stone's throw away. A2B is about less than a KM away. However, very close to the hotel is a Thalapakatti Biryani restaurant. There is sastha stores nearby, where, if you are a Tamil, you would relish buying all kinds of bakshsanam including "marundhu", the deepavali morning special. A fantastic place to stay, as far as I'm concerned.

Very very very poor service. For godsake don't bookPls don't book . Door keys not woking. Very shady I feel.. The room doesn't have towel, powder soap etc. The cofee table very untidy. My humble request is please don't opt for this lodge. What I suffered can't be expressed. It was our own family function which we could attend with peace of mind because of this dirty poor service

<<Alert>> Police raid in the pretext of security check at a 3 star hotel. Hotel Retreat, Camp Road, Selaiyur, Chennai. With utter disgust im writing my nightmare experience in this Hotel. We were overnighting at this hotel with my family due to personal work. In the middle of the night at around 1:30 am there was a unanymous call on my phone.And, There was loud knock on the door. ((they didn't use the calling bell)) suspected that it mite be the hoteliers. But still we were hesitant to open the door as it was untime. I called back to the number to check whether he was knocking the door and was he a hotel staff. His voice came in a very calm tone inquiring where am I? I just kept asking who are you. There was no reply from the other end. I just felt the knock and the call was disconnected. And called the hotel reception, Asking if there is any emergency,and have they sent any staff to our room cos someone is keeping on knocking the door. And also informed him that we are getting unanymous calls . The receptionist claimed that he ain't aware of any of this situation happening at 4th floor of his hotel. Suspected the situation, I looked into the door lens I saw a police in his uniform wearing proper badge. And observed he took his phone to call and it struck that my phone was ringing. As the whole situation was suspicious, we didn't open the door. Instead my mom who was staying along with me called back to the same number and informed this is not the right time to come for rounds /raid. Moreover we can't open the door just because u r wearing a uniform, and we are checking the situation and will properly confirm the same and then open .He still didn't stop knocking. Meanwhile I tried to reach my relatives for help. But he refused to leave and kept knocking.. It wasn't even a group of policemen,just one person. Then we threatened that only after we get a proper details from the local police station we can open the door ,will contact the nearby police station and call back. that's when he left.. The whole situation was suspicious as to, how he got my number, if it is from the receptionist then y was he totally unaware of the situation? Why didnt the police /hotelier follow the proper protocol ?? Nor the receptionist didn't alert us on the intercom or even come along with him knowing that a family was staying ? Why didn't he reveal the true details when he called @1:30 am? And also after all the hungama, the receptionist or staffs didn't show up at all. Even after the incident why didn't they show up until now. Everything leaves me clueless. I'm just writing this to check whether anyone has been in such situation before . And to add to the above woes, please don't stay in this terrible hotel.

Location is really good and safe. 24*7 security guard. Well connected to the main road and bus stops No doubt it's a nice hotel but needs little maintenance. Room is good. Housekeeping is ok. Bathroom needs some ventilation, Nice place. Clean and cosy. Family room is good enough for a family of four people. There is no restaurant or coffee shop. I guess that will be sorted out when the new block is completed.
