We were given room 105 on ground floor. It had a double bed squeezed into the space of a single bed room. We couldn’t even place our suit cases, no walking space. Summary: – Location of Rainbow hotels is Alwarpet, not Adyar. – Check-in time stated is 12 noon but we got the room only at 3 pm. – Hurt my leg with scratch wounds from bed corner due to lack of space. – TV in room was hanging at 45 degree angle. Set top box was hanging loose with loose connections. – There was the odour of drains in the bathroom almost all the time. – Quality of towels poor. Looked old and stale. No hand towel provided. – Breakfast room dimly lit, we couldn’t even see the eatables properly. – Worst place we have ever stayed, we checked out the next day and moved to a better place.

Property is in an excellent location. The room is spacious, bathroom and dressing areas are big. They provide Wi-fi, have a small dining area along with in-room dining. Big thumbs up. Do try the filter coffee here.

I had a most wonderfully pleasant stay at this well presented hotel. The rooms are immaculately clean with fresh bedding and towels daily. The hotel staff are extremely accommodating and made my stay there an absolute pleasure. The hotel is very central with the main road of Chennai ( TTK ROAD ) only a 2 minutes walk away. There is a delightful bakery situated on the corner of the road of the hotel, serving sweet and savoury western snacks. This makes a nice change if you fancy change from the spicy food. I have no hesitation recommending Rainbow Hotel to people visiting Chennai.

We were accommodated in a 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor. Every single room was so badly maintained. The bedsheet had stains, the walls had leakage and moulds, the washroom was dirty..it was a nightmare to say the least! On top of that, the service was horrible! Whenever we requested anything, it took them about 4-5 hours to get it. We had to keep reminding them even for water bottles. The flush in one of the washrooms stopped working and they took an entire day to fix it. Again, we had to remind them a million times! The only good thing about this apartment was the security guard / watchman who stood near the gate and who was always happy to help us with our luggage. If you're planning to stay here, I would request you to AVOID at all costs!!
