The hotel is Pathetic. Dont believe the pictures you see. The lift does not work, AC does not work, Geyser does not work, kettle has not been washed for years, rooms are dirty, place is dirty, had to run away from the hotel. Pathetic is an understatement. Dont waste your time booking this hotel ever

A Horrible "C" Grade Old & Dilapidated Hotel

Staying in this hotel was worse than a punishment. It is an Old, rundown, dilapidated property. I feel it would not even qualify to be a one star hotel. The rooms were smelly, old with worn out furniture. The bathrooms were of the 1960 era with broken tiles, broken or loose sanitary fittings, dim lights and non working faucets. AC's were found to be ineffective and leaking. There were inches of dirt all around the room. There were barely 5-6 staff in the entire hotel and their intercom was not working properly. All in all a HORRIBLE HOTEL WHICH YOU SHOULD NOT EVEN CONSIDER IF OFFERED FOR 1000/- ALSO. I paid Rs.4600/- per day for the hotel and mind you the hotel is not worth more than 700/- BEWARE: DO NOT EVEN THINK OF STAYING HERE!! IT IS DARK & SCARY!!

The worst hotel in the world

1/5

rajivwelikala on May 03, 2020

This has to be the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my years of travel and working in the travel industry. I booked this hotel for myself , my boss and 9 clients for 1 night after our tour in Kaziranga, to spend the night and take the flight back to Sri Lanka via Delhi the next day. Oh boy where we in for a surprise. The hotel is not even a 2 star hotel in my opinion, the toilets were so old and basic it was shocking. Even our old wildlife department bungalows in Yala and Wilpattu had better toilets. It was that bad. The toilet seats were dirty and the cisterns were old plastic ones which were not working properly and the toilet seat was in peaices. The overall toilets were terrible. The rooms were also old and not well maintained. One of the clients complained the sheets looked like used and not washed. When I went to the shower there was no hot water, and when I called the reception they were asking me “sir do you want hot water? Shall I turn the main switch on then? “ and I was in shock. Also the Wifi as well they do several “mgyver” type of mechanical operations by the hotel maintenance to get working. We were worried stepping into dinner what the clients would say. Dinner was excellent and very tasty. But there also we had an issue. We clearly gave each order one by one with each room number to bill to. End of the service the waitress came with all in one bill and we told her to put each iteam ordered room wise like we asked before. She gave an annoyed expression and made a rude gesture towards my client. My boss Athif was with us, and he got very angry. Then she said she will make the bills an come to get them signed. The clients waited over 3o mins and no bills were coming. Then when we asked she casually said she will give it at checkout tomorrow, when the clients have been waiting tired and sleepy for over 30 mins expecting this to come which she said shes giving. My boss and myself immediately asked to speak to the manager, who came sheepishly and listened and apologized to us, but we wanted them to personally apologize to clients the next day which he agreed (but later never did and hid from us whole of the next day). Then the best part started when at night the power went off at around 2.30 AM and my boss Athif went down in the middle of the night 3 flights of stairs to check whats wrong and to see the hotel wiring something has happened and they were fixing, it, not the main power nor the generator issue, and he went up and down twice 3 flights of stairs to check with me in the middle of the night breaking out rest and sleep to see this issue, and so embarrassed that the clients will protect on this. The Power came back only at 6.30 AM. This by far is the worst hotel experience I have had in my career and I am deeply upset that we even put our clients in this place. Given this embarrassment we ended up paying the dinner bills of the guests as well to compensate for all these issues. The clients said the whole trip was great and ended with a sour note at this hotel which is a poor excuse for a hotel in my opinion. Honestly I have never been so embarrassed and ashamed in my career.

Hotel located close to Railway station and Nehru stadium. It was one the start rated hotel in past and now lost his charm. Room rates are quite high whereas service is quite slow. Rooms are good and clean. You can see Nehru stadium from Corridors. We only had 1 dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was good in taste with lots of variety whereas I didn’t like menu from Dinner. Overall it is average place to stay at High cost

Old style unprofessional feel in service and place

Conducted one program there. God was average and service sort of lacked professionalism and customer service orientation. Even decor was old showing lack of care and sofas with old foam unfit for comfortable sitting. Not recommended. However location is good, on the main road. Needs lot of professional training.
