The rooms were spacious and comfortable for three adults, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. A particularly kind lady staff member assisted us and offered a villa near the reception on the ground floor, which was very helpful as we had a senior citizen with us. We extend our special thanks to the entire Front Office team for taking such excellent care of us during our two-day stay. 💯 We are especially grateful to Vijay for his assistance in obtaining the e-pass. 🤝😊 Thank you. 🙏

We had opted for a cottage here with lakeview and for starters,a very tiny microscopic part of lake is visible from here. Secondly,the rooms are very old and smelly and dining table was dirty too. They dont provide heaters and charge for it on per day basis;imagine being in ooty and paying so much and not having a heater!anyway,we paid for it,they gave it,it kept making noise,they didnt replace and it didnt even heat the room. Now,coming to the geyser. While taking shower all of a sudden the water turns cold and doesnt get hot no matter how much you try! They do not respond to room services- had asked for cutlery,tea,sugar sachet..they send nothing! Had asked for hair dryer-they dont have it.. scissors? Nope! Cleaning in the middle of day? No.. extra towel? Nope..nothing at all! This place is not worth the money and i suggest taking some other hotel like accord etc at almost same price!

This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. 1. Everything Costs Extra Need a heater? That’s extra. Want a wood fire to stay warm in freezing temperatures? Also extra. They’ll nickel-and-dime you for basic necessities that should already be included. Total money trap. 2. False Advertising What you see in the pictures is not what you get. The rooms are outdated, poorly maintained, and look nothing like the polished images they use to lure you in. It feels like bait-and-switch at its finest. 3. Zero Service Standards We asked for blankets. Waited over 2 hours. Nothing. Had to walk all the way to reception late at night and demand them before anyone moved a finger. Their response? Cold, careless, and completely unprofessional. 4. Shocking Levels of Negligence A man urinated right outside our room. We reported it, and the staff acted like they cared. Said they’d handle it in the morning—then did absolutely nothing. No cleanup, no sanitation, just ignored like it never happened. Utter disregard for basic hygiene and guest experience. Hotel Lakeview is a disaster. Poor service, false promises, and a complete lack of responsibility. Avoid this place unless you’re okay with being ignored, overcharged, and treated like a nuisance instead of a guest.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. Hotel Lakeview was one of the worst stays I’ve ever experienced. 1. Extra Charges for Basic Amenities They charge separately for heaters and wood fires—things you’d expect to be included in a cold place like Ooty. It feels like they’re trying to squeeze money out of you at every opportunity. 2. Misleading Photos The pictures online are completely different from reality. What you get is a far cry from what’s shown—old, worn-out rooms with none of the charm or cleanliness portrayed in their listings. 3. Extremely Poor Service We asked for blankets and waited for two hours with nothing delivered. Eventually, we had to walk to the reception late at night and firmly demand them before anything was done. The staff were indifferent and clearly not trained to handle guests properly. 4. Unhygienic and Unacceptable Behavior The most shocking part? A man urinated right in front of our room. When we informed the staff, they just gave a half-hearted apology and said they'd handle it in the morning. Nothing was done. No cleaning, no sanitation—just complete negligence. This place doesn’t care about guest comfort, hygiene, or service. Save your time, money, and sanity—look elsewhere.

The management staff has no manners to talk to ladies be it my wife or my mother. They also charge 20% if you are ordering room service. The waiters and room service guys are polite and good. There are no fans or AC in the room to control temperature. The beds are uncomfortable.
