AVOID - a waste of money

I hated this hotel. The rooms are tiny and not particularly clean. There was no hot water on the first morning. A phone with no instructions. A poor shower fixed too close to the wall and no shower guard, not even a curtain. "Premium channels" no chance - not even international news. Kettle - but no cups: instead, if you ask, you get paper ones and a few tiny capsules of UHT milk and Nescafe sachets. Self - service breakfast: not true. You can order a few basics to be delivered to your room. Eat in bed as there's no table. On Hotels.com they also advertised a "garden" and a "terrace." I looked - they don't exist. On top of all that works were taking place, creating noise so mo "reception area with newspapers" - no newspapers!and the walls are so thin it's noisy when people come back at night or even just walk around the dim, claustrophobic and narrow corridors. Avoid this cynical money-making prison. Good location NEAR the canal, though.

I wish there was less than 1 star to give, seriously this is the most terrible hotel that I ever stayed at in my life. We got stuck in the elevator for 1 hour and we literally were in panic and the receptionist is laughing and saying there's nothing he could do until we called the police and they came and fixed the elevator for us. Terrible attitude, terrible hotel and I don't know how they're apart of a chain.

A value for money hotel in a great location. Overall ok, however towels were changed only every second day and the bathroom dirty curtain was not changed, although I asked for it. Desk people were not the nicest…

I am sorry to say, but want to let people who are considering staying here know that my partner and I booked two nights here and left during the middle of the first night because we woke up to bites and found many bed bugs on the bed and in the bathroom. We killed one of the bugs we saw on the bed when we woke up and saw bright red blood on the tissue, and indication that it had freshly eaten. I was covered in bed bug bites from my back my arm and even on my face. I am sensitive and allergic to some insect bites and my bites got swollen and infected so badly that I had to go to the emergency room the next day. I hate to leave negative reviews but bed bugs are a serious problem and I hope the hotel takes care to eliminate them. They can latch onto you, your belongings, your luggage, and then you may end up with the problem at home. We saw several adult bed bugs, as well as several younger/smaller ones. It was a shame because the hotel is in such a great location. Obviously cleanliness of the hotel was lacking as we also saw brown/red stains on the walls and on the lampshades, dust on various surfaces, etc., which honestly were red flags.

I chose this hotel because I had to catch an early train at Gare de l'Est but didn't really have any expectations. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I had asked for a room without carpet ( because of allergies) and was put in the disabled accesible room. This was a bright, spacious and freshly renovated room. The bed and pillow were great quality. Because I had to leave early, the staff allowed me to have sn early breakfast. Breakfast was simple but adequate for this type of hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in an area with plenty of bars snd restaurants.
