We have booked and PAID for 1 night stay at this hotel per booking.com for spending a few hours after our late arrival from Lugano and our flight back at early morning. BUT! we were refused in check-in because we arrived after 9.00 p.m. and there is deadline for check-in. The guy at reception was playing on the phone while talking to us. We offered to pay extra for late check in, he refused to do anything for us, even wanted to call police! It was late , raining outside and we were with our 10 years old son. Our room was re-booked and re-paid by someone else, who appeared right after us. Very rare I write reviews , because it is easy to satisfy my expectations. But the behavior of the guy at the reception was outrageous!!!!! I DO NOT recommend this place TO NO ONE!!!!!

We are a family of 3 persons., with our son of 10 years. Arrived at the hotel at 21:30. We made a booking through booking.com, paing in advance the accommodation. Outside - raining. Front desk guy told us that we cannot enter the room because we came late.....booking is only between 14 -20:00. At our answer he confirmed to us that the room is free, the key being at reception. Even we paid the accomodation he adviced us to leave the hotel or he will call the POLICE!!! I told him I will pay once again the same amount but to open the door., he also refused. We asked him to call or to sms the hotel owner - but he refused to do so telling us that he will lose his job if he will sms or call. We called booking custommer support., they contacted the reception!!! - same answer to them BUT nohere was mentioned during booking that if you will not be able to arrive inside booking hrs you will lose the money and reservation will be cancelled. Moreover, at 22:00 two guys entered the hotel and this unfriendly desk clerk arranged for them the check in.... (he told us before and also booking.com representatives that he has no rights to make check-ins/another person is doing this till 20:00). We found on booking that one room left in this hotel with the price 4 times over we paid 2 weeks before. So, most probably, this policy is to take money from 2 different persons for the same room/same time. I asked him to call police., but this for sure will not help the situation. Next morning at 7 oclock we had a flight so.....the result was - sleeping on the floor in Bergamo airport. They do not know but some day they will be punished for this not by authorities , but by GOD for sure. Seeing other reviews here,I think it was better to sleep on the cold floor in airport even to stay in this terrible hotel.

Some of the most dishonest, unprofessional hotel staff I have ever interacted with.

I was refused check-in for a prepaid booking after arriving at 9pm with no explanation other than "check-in is closed." The person sitting at the front desk was unfriendly and unaccommodating and I was left to find a new hotel late at night in the rain. Even now the hotel continues to refuse to refund me for a room that I did not stay in. I have stayed in budget accommodations often, but this was far worse than anything I had previously encountered. If you are unsure of your check-in time, go elsewhere I would. This place is a scam.

From the beginning it was bad. We had booked it as a cheap spot to rest between a late arrival in Milan and an early flight from Malpensa. No luxury was required. Good, as no luxury, or even basic quality or amenities were even accidentally found. On arrival we were told there was a CASH ONLY late check-in fee. We were still required to pay for the room with the card on record, the late fee paid in cash. With little choice at this late hour it had to be paid, but this must be a scam. Either the hostel(and it most definitely a HOSTEL) was trying to make a profit without putting it through their accounts or the guy on the desk was trying to earn a little extra. The check-in area has damp and peeling walls so expectations were plummeting by the second. Then we were brought to our room and shown the bathroom at the end of our hall. No mention of shared bathroom when booking. The sheets had shoe marks on them. The pillows were so disgusting we put so spare pillow slips we had on them, which we only had as a we are backpacking and found them useful. We had never needed them in five separate venues before this. There were dirty shoe prints on the sheets. Our window led onto a yard full of scrap and rubble. A door to this yard was left open all night. The noise was unbelievable. I would not wish a night in this establishment on my worst enemy. If I could give 0 stars I would. Please do not make the same mistake I did. Do not stay here. Pay whatever you have to to stay anywhere else. In the search for somewhere else to stay I found it listed on Booking.com for that night at a cost of €450 for a room, which could be enough to fool you into thinking it was a high-end HOTEL, and not the worst hostel you will ever encounter. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid at all costs!
