Perfect stay for marathon monday

My fiance and I both ran the Boston marathon last week. We stayed at Hotel Commonwealth in 2023 and had such a great stay that we came back. The location is excellent for marathon Monday, easy access to the T to go to the loading busses at Boston Common and not to mention the hotel is at mile 25. Our rooms both times were spacious, particularly considering its downtown Boston and we had a fridge which is clutch for a race. I also appreciate when we checked in the staff was promptly helping us unload the car. Rooms cleaned every day and looked really nice when we got back in the afternoon/evening. Also big shoutout to Commonwealth for the specific amenities they have for marathon Monday. There is a continental breakfast with coffee and hot water, as well as bagels, muffins etc. This was really helpful because I could make my oatmeal and then grab a bagel to take to the start. They also set up a marathon themed balloon wall for photos and provided Sam Adams beer and souvenir 26.2 glasses. When I came back to my room I had a commemorative plaque with my race time!! All in all I'd 100% recommend this hotel to anyone running Boston, or wanting to check out downtown, specifically a red sox game. I hope I can run next year and will stay at Commonwealth again

We stayed at the Commonwealth for the Marathon. Everyone there is inviting and friendly. They have a huge spread in the am for the racers and drinks when you return. The rooms are very nice. The subway train station is like 300 feet from the entrance so you can take the subway to the shuttles in the morning, only 3 stops. The expo is one train stop. Kadir the best bell captain / doorman and knows all things Boston. Citgo Sign right outside your window.

We stayed at Hotel Commonwealth last weekend. All I can say is WOW. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the friendly valet. During check in, Jeff and his team had snacks and waters for us. I had my children with us and next thing I know a red wagon gets pulled out with all sorts of toys and goodies for the kids to pick from. The front desk staff were amazing! The hotel is so family friendly. It is in the perfect location near Fenway and Newbury St. We had a family weekend with multiple families and Jeff and his team were able to accommodate us with adjoining rooms and one right next door. The rooms are very spacious, nicely decorated and the beds are comfortable. We will be back to stay at The Hotel Commonwealth again! The staff at Hotel Commonwealth truly made us feel special. I think this experience will be hard to beat!

Our go to for work, events, and sox games! ALL of the staff is exceptional. Sort of rare to find these days. Nick is also a dog whisperer to our shy rescue - she LOVES him! The set up of the room makes it super convenient for both of us to take work calls. The extra touches like the sound machine next to the bed. This may sound silly but the pump hand soap in the bathroom. This hotel represents Boston at its best!

The staff was so friendly and attentive. The facilities were clean and the room was very comfortable. The hotel is located at a great location near the train and also many restaurants around the area. I recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a Boston experience or locals looking for a staycation.
