Stayed in this hotel for a day on the 9th of Aug 2022. Booked 4 rooms and every roon has a problem. No Hotwater in a couple of rooms, AC not working properly in one of the rooms, Phone not working in one and the list goes on and on. No one cares to fix anything. It is better to avoid staying in this place.

Hotels seems nice from outside. It is adjacent to New Bus Stand, Thanjavur. Following are the Pros/Cons which I observed during my 3 Day Stay in Hotel Bala Ji Inn. PROS: 1. Location close to New Bus Stand, Thanjavur. 2. Economical CONS: 1. Lots and Lots of bugs in beds. You can't sleep properly in night. In Morning you will found red rashes on your body. 2. Rooms and Toilets are stinking. Although they clean it daily but it requires deep cleaning of rooms and Toilets at least once in a week. 3. There is humidity inside Toilets and rooms. Need exhaust fans in toilets. 4. AC was not working in my room. They changed my room after 6 hours. Lot of inconvenience in shifting your belongings. 5. Door fitting was out of order. It doesn't fit properly. It takes lots of efforts to open or close it. I observed many doors on my floor with the same problem. 6. Lots of dust everywhere in almirah and on furniture's and on bed sides. 7. Landline phone not working. So no connectivity with reception. Every time you have to call with your mobile phone for assistance. Inconvenience. 8. Staff is cooperative but not professional. Need proper trainings for hospitality attitude. 9. Strange rules: If you stay for one hour extra you have to pay for whole day (24Hrs). No objection to this rule but it is appreciable if you tell this in advance or mention it somewhere. They charged me for whole day for extra stay of 8 hrs. No issues. Better if it is on pro-rate basis. No objection here, they can have their own rules. 10. Approach road is dirty and stinking due to garbage dumps. People urinating on these streets. There is a nearby empty plot where some miscreants sell some liquor and other narcotics. A little bit unsafe environment. 11. No facility of hot water in AC and Non AC Rooms. These above mentioned are basic requirements in any Hotel. People usually stay for one day, so they need optimum comforts to relax themselves. Avoid it and Better to stay in some decent hotel.

The rooms were compact but nice . The food should be improved.there is big lounge area in the front .the car parking should be made bigger. In total this was a nice place with affordable price . give it a try

Very good location though driving through lanes a hassle ! Basement parking is there but honestly the place is very dirty and many unwanted things in the parking space ! Since we booked online hassle free check in and the room was spacious happy on the first look with blasting centralised A/C ! Tried calling the reception the intercom was not working ! Next day morning water was an issue ! No daily change of Bedspreads ! No remote for TV ! No Restaurant ! How ever all our concerns were sorted in a jiffy by the staff and very responsive ! Must appreciate ! For the rate paid I expected a much better service !

I stayed in this hotel for two days with family. Hotel location is very convenient. Car parking is available. The rooms are good but not well maintained. The bathrooms needs more cleaning. The bed sheet though clean are old n faded. Would need some more upkeep. Room service is decent. Reception responds quickly to queries n try to help out. All in all a good budget hotel but can improve if they put in little more effort...
