could be made into a good hotel, since Ujjain doesnt have many good places to stay. I stayed at hotel Atharva dated 24 August, hotel as such got good location, property size for a 3star is also good but all good things ends here, rooms are smelly, it is so very common with Indian hotels that they provide bad rooms to online bookings. The room they provided was next to service room, phone kept ringing all night, despite making request for a non smoking zone, the room was not good enough to stop the smoke coming from other room, room interior looks dingy and dark, probably bad color choice of upholstry and curtains, toilet was not clean either. Thank god we stayed for one night only. Surprisingly the breakfast was good enough. Wash room near reception was smelly and bad. There were stains of left over food on table mats and table cloth. They can do good but the owners and manager of our Indian hotels cut corners and dont focus on areas which get them brownie points. Overall bad choice for a 3star hotel. They did not even provided small face towels despite asking couple of times.

Decent place to stay in Ujjain.. the property is spacious with good lush green gardens outside. Rooms are decent at this price, but could have been better. Service is too slow. It took 1 hour to bring some basic snacks and tea at the restaurant.

Hotel atharva is the worst hotel. They charge you heftily and don't provide the services and hospitality. Rooms are furnished with old furniture. Taps, showers are fully junked and jammed . In the season of winter they promise you to provide hot water but at the end they will make you to Bath in cold water. food is stale after eating dalfry and roti. My family members suffered from food poisoning more over fnb manager behavior was worst @11th hour he shouted on us ki koi khana nahin milenga aap log jao jabki sabhi log baith k khana kha rahe the waha dine in mei. Aur raat ko jo khana diya it made us suffer. We checked in around 11:40 in midnight and when we checked out next day around 11 am and asked for concession against all the odd the front office person hatim spoke to us very rudely and said pay the payment of 8000 rupees or else I won't let you go. After all the suffering they harassed us and forcefully made us to pay for the wrong things and the services that they don't provide . We stayed only for 11 hours still they couldn't provide any service moreover all the rooms are very noisy you can't sleep at all. Don't ever Go It's like aa bail mujhe maar Waha k pani mei machar gira rehta hai they serve that.

Its totally rundown property. Not maintained at all. Window glasses were full of stains of water marks from outside. Cockroaches found in the bathroom. Taps were dirty with scale stains. Cardkey was dirty. Doorbell of adjoining room is heard in your room. Not located in the prime area where most good hotels are. They are more interested in wedding & marriage group clients. So better confirm for the same before booking. Very limited menu for breakfast as compared to other hotels charging same tariff. Overall its good for INR 2.5K per night not more.

Reception team was good. The front office desk staff has no much knowledge about providing Wi-Fi to the guests. I was without Wi-Fi during my entire stay. Restaurant and the food is fantastic. Restaurant staff also are courteous.
