The USP with Hotel Amaravati was the location for a quick night stopover for us. The Hotel is bang on the Bengaluru to Mysuru Expressway. Room was comfortable and food was good. The only struggle we had was when we wanted to travel to Ranganthitu Bird Sanctuary. This was a good 45 minute drive. Pros 1. Location 2. Food Cons 1. Distance from Mysuru

Had breakfast at Amravathi enroute to Mysore. Outstanding breakfast, great service and decently priced. Location is perfect and ambience is like a 5 star hotel , staff dressed and service is 5*. A perfect place for breakfast enroute to Mysore from Bangalore.

My wife and I had been to Mandya and the hosts put us in this hotel which is quite good with all facilities in our suite. Food at its restaurant Diner is good and the service good. Just one suggestion - the toilets in rooms should have at least 1 hand towel in addition to the two bath towels. Our suite had two toilets but neither had any hand towel.

North food was terrible, no butter on butter Rosie's, terrible service. Roties were of very poor quality. North Indian dishes like Sahi Panir, Sabj lababdar were missing their actual essence. Even though normal roties were delivered and acknowledged at table, still prize of butter roties were applied. Hotel was not delivering food as per its ambience.

I had stopped at this place that has been completely spruced up compared to the earlier simple but functional restaurant. Based on the looks, it appeared really grand and when I sat at the restaurant, the first disappointment set in. The waiter who came to my table couldn't understand what I was asking so I had to call the front office guy after much argument who helped out. I asked that waiter to get a plate of Idli and he brought a stone cold idli!! Who in his right mind can think of a cold idli? And that too charging a whopping 75 Rs for a single idli and vadae? Absolute crap. When I pointed out that the idli was stone cold - in my opinion, I need not have done that, the waiter himself should have seen that it is not steaming hot and hence something is wrong - he said I will get another one. I was so thoroughly pissed off that this so called restaurant on the highway in the heart of Karnataka couldn't serve a proper staple breakfast item.. I just walked out, deciding that I will never set foot again in this crappy place. My advice to the hotel management guys - get local people to man the important roles. Kitchen is an integral part and one should always get local help there so that they can retain the local taste and flavours. Else, you are in for a disaster.
