The hotel has great view of the Nainital Lake, the breakfast was also good , however the rooms are not clean as expected and was dirty at the time of check in . Not all the rooms are in good shape and there are lots of stair case to get to the best view of the lake which is mentioned above.

Worthless Stay at Hotel Himalaya. Location-4/5 Hospitality-0/5 Cleanliness-2/5 Facilities like hot water, room service-1/5 No one even carry the luggage as well. Reception staffs were very arrogant. All tap in washroom was broken. Water got stuck in bathroom due to pipeline issue. It was Rs3500/- per day tariff at the time of April which I regret.

We booked family (2 x king bed) room Good thing first: 1) Location , 2) Good reception area & 3) Food But disappointed with: 1) Reception : It seems that the reception staff is very dissatisfied with their owner, very flat face they wont share any information and ready to give you all discomfort with very ugly look. 2) Furniture: Very outdated and not clean so must dust deposited on the furniture 3) Bathroom: Not at all clean and scary infect it is the very common problem with non branded hotel, I really don't know when this owner will understand the basic of cleanliness and bathroom, it's accessories are first preference of guest.

The location of the hotel was excellent. The lake view was also superb. The service and food was also quite good. Had a very pleasant stay. They provide hired car services for local sightseeing, if you require. Staff was also very helpful and courteous.

Location wise good hotel. Food was very nice and cheaper than other hotels. So we decided to order and eat every meal here . All staff were cooperative. And attending us early on calling. Few indoor games are also available for kids. No one asked for tip.
