The hotel had a lot of history and was named in memory of the founder of Ooty. It is designed to depict estates in the UK. The rooms were large and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. You get hot water 24 hours. The food was delicious, and the service was fast. The staff were professional, courteous, and helpful. I enjoyed the stay. Avoid room 112 as you feel the exhaust sound from the kitchen.

The highlight of our stay was the impeccable service dedicated to my wife's birthday. We didn't even have to ask—the staff, led by the incredibly attentive team, went above and beyond to make the day special within a short span of notice. The resort's general atmosphere is a perfect blend of tranquility and luxury. It feels secluded and peaceful, yet is conveniently located to explore the charm of Ooty. I am travelling as a solo guest and was so pleased with the staff at Fortune Resort in Ooty. Monica was a particular dedicated and knowledgeable member of the Fortune Ooty. She helped with various requests I had regarding specific locations in town. As I had made friends with 6 other guests in the tour party, she helped all 7 of us see the things we wanted on our 2 night stay in Ooty. A true ambassador for the Fortune hotel, a true professional in every sense. Thanks to Monica we had an enhanced visit which stands as our best experience so far in Southern India. What really stood out was the quality of service whether it was room service, housekeeping, or the front desk, everything was handled efficiently and with a smile. The hotel also offered a good variety of dining options, and the breakfast spread was excellent. Overall, it was a seamless stay that made our work trip much easier and more enjoyable. Special mention to Miss Monica and Mr. Nandesh who went out of their way to help us with every thing.
