Dpnt waste your time w flamingo. Seriously the place has gone downhill over the years. Now even if u are 7 stars, cant get a room cleaned even w a 1 week stay. Front desk is rude, slots are horrible. There is just no reason to stay here. El dorado is looking to sell one of its strip properties and im certain its flamingo. Be warned..housekeeping is outsourced to another company. You read that right. I suggest paying a few hundred a nite n skip flamingo at all costs.

Don’t waste your money to upgrade if you are staying here. They do not assign you to the room you originally booked. I should have read the reviews before it was too late. I was told there was nothing they could do. Toilet was not flushed and room was not clean . Said they sold out of the rooms earlier in the day even though we booked 2 months prior.

View from the room was terrible. Disappointing after we upgraded our room at check in. Trying to use the elevators was annoying. Had to try and use your key while hitting the floor level button at the same time was hard. No doors on shower so your floor is always wet.

Bed and room were ok. Hot water was more like luke warm. Worst part was the check in experience. Arrived just before 3PM and went to the kiosk and checked in but opted not to pay the additional $20 for early check in as it was only about 30 minutes early. Instead I went to have a coffee. Came back to get my keys but now had to wait in a long line to do mobile check in all over again. Then the elevators would only allow you to go to one floor so when multiple people got in an elevator, only 1 card would work. Had to go up and down a few times before finally being able to get out on my floor. Definitely a lot of room for improvement...

Classic hotel falls victim of management short-sightedness

We had stayed at Flamingo years earlier, I knew it was an older hotel. But it's conveniently located, and it's a classic. I specifically requested a Refurbished Room, and got one. What a joke! In lieu of a closet, their was a wardrobe with a 6 inch steel bar on which to hang clothes. How is that practical in anyway? The beds were well used. There was no armchair or loveseat, just 2 business-like chairs at a small round table. The shower was a huge disappointment! Obviously, there had been a fixed glass panel, and a a slider. They've removed the slider and replaced it with a cheap shower curtain. The shower head delivered a pathetic trickle. As others have noted, check in took 20+ minutes. They are strong-arming you to use their check-in kiosks, which are positioned right in front of desk clerks. I want to use the clerk, it's what she's getting paid for! If they insist on using automation as a front line, they need to position the machines elsewhere. Clearly they are using kiosks to do away with American jobs. I won't be returning to Flamingo.
