Modern, updated hotel in an excellent location. A beautiful lobby, modern rooms with contemporary shower. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of delicious bread, ham, cheese, fruits and vegetables. The food was fresh, the breakfast area was clean, and cheerful with large sliding doors overlooking the courtyard. The only negative was the smaller size of the guest rooms.

What can I say from the moment we met Renata at reception to our experience at the hotel bar with Iman this was a great experience. The hotel is located close to everything in the city. The breakfast which we were upgraded to complementary was brilliant and if coming back would not book without it. Thank you to the hotel staff for a great Hungarian visit.

Locked in room for 10 minutes unable to open door

This is a nice hotel, clean and modern, but I did have some issues. Firstly a double room is actually two single beds pushed together and each made up separately. I like a double bed and I like to sleep diagonally across the middle without falling down a gap clutching a single duvet so this was annoying. Secondly when I tried to leave in the morning I spent a full 10 minutes trying to open the door to the room with no success. The door would simply not unlock. I decided to ring reception to ask them to release me. The phone in the room had a list for numbers but it was completely blank… I tried all the most common numbers I could think off for hotel receptions but without success. Eventually I tried the door again and found if you pushed the handle down and then turned the lock you could then escape. I checked out and suggested that they stick instructions on the doors as I had been unwittingly held hostage for 10 minutes. Their response was ‘the locks can be difficult you should have rung for assistance ‘ I said I would have done that if I knew what the number was. They said it was on the room key card. I suggested perhaps putting it on the phone where there’s an actual space for it would be a more logical solution. Apparently they will ‘consider this’ so my advice would be if you find yourself unwittingly locked in your room then in an emergency push the handle down and then unlock. If this fails and they are still ‘considering’ wether to put the reception phone number on the actual phone then the number is 1000. I would hope they rectify this before there’s a more serious incident such as a fire…

Classy, elegant hotel which can’t be faulted

We stayed here for two nights and highly recommend it. It’s just around the corner from the busy Octogon but is in a very nice, quiet street next door to an embassy. The lobby is high-ceilinged, elegant and cool. Everyone on reception was friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was spacious, modern and nicely designed. Very quiet. Nice toiletries and the most luxurious toilet paper ever! Balcony with electric shutters. Safe, minibar, great aircon. We slept very well. Excellent breakfast buffet (although the coffee wasn’t quite as good as it is in Spain).

I got in Budapest during a hot wave and this hotel was a relief sicne the ACs in the rooms work perfectly. The breakfast is also a highlight. Very complete and delicious. All personnel was very helpful and nice. The location is also very good nearby some cafes and close to metro station and etc
