I very rarely complain so this should be taken seriously 🫶 The massage I signed up for was BEYOND bad. I am sure as it was late (7pm) the receptionist lady asked her friend to do it to earn some easy coin I have had massages all over the world and this would be the worst or at the minimum worst 3 I have ever had 😡 Olivia was so bad. No idea or connection with the guest. Rough as guts. It was so bad, I was laughing to myself during the massage Rubbing bones that didn’t need attention Elbowing the same area for what felt like forever - was so bad and comical that I am in the firm belief she had no idea of how to massage - no training - nothing could train oneself for how bad that was To think I paid 98 euro for a 40 minute butchered massage makes me mad 😡 I should be paid for being her Guinea pig in the massage world Like I said - I never complain but that was ABSOLUTELY a poor massage I should be given an apology and a refund Don’t get me wrong - we have money - we are ok but that was so bad it doesn’t deserve one euro let alone 98!!!! The hotel is brilliant - except my massage In saying that my family were very disappointed in the very poor treatment we received at the roof top restaurants. We went up early 2 x to secure a front row seat to view the Acropolis . The manager refused to seat us in the tables available that had great views of the Acropolis ?? These said tables were not used all night - it was a Monday - ample opportunity to look after IN - HOUSE guests - nope - not even when we challenged the manager about the vacant tables with outstanding views We were treated as surplus to requirements- not worthy of such good views - yet we spent great coin that night and would have spent more but because our hospitality was poor we were not going to spend anything more - to highlight a tip was required beggars belief 😡 For such a great location and opportunity to be the best in Athens - we came away thinking it was one of the worst experiences we have ever had Up your game - unacceptable 😢 Ps don’t get people to do massage reviews straight after massage- you won’t get the answers you are seeking Give your namesake Athina justice and use wisdom to help become better - you have the opportunity to be the best in Athina 🥰

A perfect hotel for a family trip to Athens

Fantastic hotel in a great location - perfect for exploring Athens. We chose this hotel for a 4 night break for many reasons and are so pleased we did. We have had a wonderful time and loved every minute. We are sad to be leaving today. As a family of 5 it's not always easy to find accommodation that fits the bill but the Metropolis was perfect - two large, tastefully decorated rooms connected by their own private mini lobby area which meant everyone felt safe, had their own bed and enjoyed their space. Every member of the hotel team was kind and efficient and without exception treated us all so well. Questions and support for booking tours before our arrival were managed efficiently by emails. The hotel arranged a transfer from the airport for us which we all loved - a luxury vehicle and a kind driver who shared lots of info information and ideas for things to do during our stay. Check in was friendly and efficient and every contact with reception was first class. The kids were made welcome everywhere and everyone went out of their way to ensure we were looked after. We enjoyed all the facilities - one swim (booked) in the indoor pool and a few trips to the roof top pool where the water was fresh (not heated) but the welcome and service were very warm! Breakfast each morning was a highlight with lots of options for everyone to eat and a stunning view of the Acropolis. All in all a five star stay in a five star hotel. Thanks to the whole team for making our first trip to Athens perfect in every way!

What a wonderful experience. Located at Center of the downtown Athena’s walking distance to Acropolis and all the major sites, with tons of restaurants and shops around. The location of this hotel is hard to beat. From the moment we arrived, hotel staffs showed passion and enthusiasm every moment. The guest relations manager Athina was excellent and professional. Check in was smooth and efficient. Our suite was impeccable with the view of acropolis. Decent size with large balcony. Air conditioner worked great. Bed was only double size but sleep comfortably with two adults. Breakfast was served on the roof top restaurant and very friendly staff with western and traditional Greek food. Gym was small but you will get enough exercise just by walking. Don’t miss the pool on the roof, very relaxing and great place to chill out. Overall, very impressive stay. It becomes our first choice for Athens.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights at the beginning of April. From the moment we arrived we found this hotel fantastic. Our room was very spacious and exceptionally clean. We had a fantastic walk in shower and a lovely balcony overlooking the restaurants at the front of the hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was very quiet and we slept well. We had breakfast each morning on the 10th floor which had fabulous views of the Parthenon. There was a great choice of hot and cold food for breakfast which was delicious. We used both pools each day which were fantastic. The indoor pool had to be booked which allowed it to be less crowded. Most days we had the indoor pool to ourselves. The hotel is very well situated, 5 minutes walk to Syntagma square and the National gardens and about 10 minutes walk to the Parthenon. There are also lots of shops and restaurants close to the hotel and we felt very safe staying in this area of the city. We stayed here for my birthday and when we arrived the hotel gave me a delicious birthday cake and bottle of Prosecco. The hotel were very friendly and helpful. We have loved our stay here and will definitely book to stay here again.

This might just be the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at - the staff made us feel welcome from the start - we were travelling with two small children and everyone was so helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. The outdoor pool wasn’t open due to the season but the indoor pool was wonderful - note - you have to book the indoor pool as it is small and this prevents it becoming overcrowded, also children are not permitted in the pool after 2pm - we were concerned when we were initially told this but it did not cause us any issues. The hotel is ideally situated in a great location close to the main metro station of syntagma, the breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choice and the best bit was the view of the Acropolis from the bar/restaurant area - amazing especially lit up at night - highly recommend this hotel
