It is situated amidst a serene lake and two enchantingly lush hills and is approximately 25 km away from Ooty. Our lakeside resort near Ooty is frequented by nature lovers, adventure enthusiasts, leisure and corporate travellers, and honeymooners. With comfortable accommodations overlooking the lake and hills, delectable dining outlets, an elegant conference hall and a rejuvenating spa, Destiny is perfect for a weekend getaway in the arms of nature! Additionally, our resort offers special packages such as horse riding, fishing, dairy visit, day camping, rope activities and more, for corporate and school groups. Destiny is about a 1 hr 30 min drive away from Ooty. Guests can park their vehicles at our parking area, which is at a distance of 3 km from the resort. From there, we can arrange a pick-up.

A Trekking extravaganza

The scenery and landscape is stunning and a far cry from the chaos of Bangalore The restaurant team, especially Vishal, were amazingly accommodating to our dining demands and made meal times a superb experience The highlight of our stay were the treks through the forest, mud, waterfalls and amazing other sights. Thanks to Natchi for all of his teaching and guiding for us. Our kids managed hours and KMs of treks, enjoying every minute.

It was a lot of people hanging out around my room. The rooms stink. They are not clean. I requested a non-smoking room and both rooms smelled like smoke. Bathrooms were gross and bugs were everywhere!! The door did not seem secure and was not evened out so bugs got in easily. The second room was full of ants. I will not recommend this. I do not even know how they got rating so high. I was told that my room would have several amenities but zero amenities, in the name of amenities they only keep one jar of cookies and on the next day fruit basket was provided, not even a mini fridge was there which is basic for the amount charged as much as 22k for a room. First the lady that checks you in has a very bad attitude and is very rude she cannot speak the local language, and not ready to help. Even the manager can’t speak even he was not able to help us with a heater which again was charged after paying so much. The property is shortly staffed, the rooms are in poor condition and everything is very dirty. So many guests had so many complaints from the room but no one really takes care of the guest. Only good part is the location and view (But for that they cannot charge this much high rate without service, that also when they cannot deliver, café near the lake is closed always with zero service. Breakfast was a shocking bad for the amount they charge, poor service, plates getting over, seats full no one to suggest and help us, all running, quality of dosa is the poorest you can have, refilling not happening. Even the table orders at lunch time was taking more time, cannot in anyway can be called a luxury resort. We booked through MMT 25th to 26th 6 rooms but they gave 4 rooms near the smelling area of stable and 2 rooms near the reception. Absolutely ridiculous I will NEVERRRRR IN MY LIFE WASTE MONEY ON A ROOM LIKE THAT AGAIN.

The resort is very beautiful - picture perfect lake, mountains, vegetable garden, and fresh air. They have good activities like horse riding, farm tour, early morning trekking, fishing, etc., to keep the kids occupied. It's pet friendly too and it's a great time to spend time with the pet in the vast farm. Most of the staff take a lot of effort to make it a memorable experience for you. A few callouts: 1. The resort is remote - the parking to the resort ride is bumpy and not suitable for all. 2. My daughter got sick with stomach ache, and it's sad that there is no inhouse doctor/ medical assistance for a premium resort that charges heavy prices. You are stuck in case of emergency. 3. The resort is heavily understaffed in case of full occupancy, especially in the restaurant and housekeeping. That definitely affects the overall experience 4. Paid more for luxury rooms but it's the farthest from activities/ attractions. In the night, the lighting was not enough for a comfortable walk. I found other normal rooms are cheaper and better in therms of view/ distance to key points. 5. At times, the plates/ glasses are not clean. A few times they wash used glasses/ tea cup in plain water without using soap (right in front of me), which I didn't expect.

Pros-We had an amazing time of life at Destiny Farm Resort. Friendly staffs, quick response, amazing food. We thoroughly loved the activities meant for kids, horse riding, gardening, cooking classes etc The best part was morning Trek with an experienced naturalist Mr Nachiketh. We learned many things about wild life and bio diversity. We loved the farm tour and explanation given to us by one of the staffs. We enjoyed our trip to the lake side and spending time by the lake restuarant. Cons- There is nothing much to speak against the resort except for the 2km treacherous path that takes to reach the resort. If you are pregnant or have aged parents then I wouldn't recommend it for them.

We stayed as a family of three in a Hill View room at Destiny – The Farmstay, and it was perfect for us. The room was neat, clean, and spacious, with a balcony offering beautiful views of the hills. The location is simply amazing — the sight of Avalanche Lake from here is truly breathtaking.We loved spending time with the horses, especially Yuvraj, who stole our hearts. Our son enjoyed all the in-house activities like fishing, sheep feeding, milking, and horse riding. My personal favorite was the peaceful nature walk, which let us soak in the beauty of the surroundings.The food was good, had a nice variety, and was prepared with just the right level of spice.Getting here is an adventure in itself — the road is quite a roller coaster ride. Also, room rates during the holiday season can be steep, which could pinch the budget. But honestly, the memories and experiences we made here were worth every bit.
