Chomu Palace is an unexpected surprise in the midst of a bustling, crowded town. Entering the gates you are transported to a bygone era and the calm of sprawling gardens, and a beautiful palace that dates back centuries. We stayed for a night en route another destination. Though brief, the experience was memorable. The staff is always smiling, attentive and prompt, The food was excellent. The rooms are all different from another, as is typical of palaces converted to hotels. Comfortable and well maintained. The Sheesh Mahal is stunning, as is the facade of the palace and the huge courtyard that has been the site for many movie and series shoots. The highlight of the stay was a tour of the palace with Ishwar Singhji. A veritable encyclopaedia on Rajput history, he regaled us with anecdotes of wars, victories , valor and sacrifice that defined centuries of life here. A big thank you for the wonderful tour.

Balveer at the front desk was really helpful. We were shooting at the palace and he has been of a great help. The most sweetest staff ever. He went out of his way to make sure that we get everything we needed. The food was delicious too. Overall the staff was good and very helpful.

A 16th Century Palace

We and a whole of people were staying at Chomu for a sangeet/mehndi combination and wedding vows renewal ceremony. The fort was built in the 16th Century. The large doorways, the welcome, the big gates welcoming you into a past was epic. The Moti Mahal location is were we did the sangeet/mehndi and it was lime yellow walls of the fort with alleyways like total bhool Bhulaiyaas. The organza green doorway that ran into the Rawala Courtyard was beautiful. Just history opening its gates for us. We did some beautiful sequences in this Palace. Thank you for taking care of us. We had over 20 suites booked in and 17th & 18th March Chomu was our home! The Maharani suite has unbelievable silver furniture (bed 4 poster ans sofa) Meanwhile, the historical suite, palace suites took us back in time of what could have been. It’s not a modern palace hotel. A special mention to the Manager, Mr. Rathore who was super gracious who made it all possible and opened all doors and spaces literally for us to film the fun vibrant and white wedding ceremonies at Chomu Palace. We were a 100 people + daily x 2 days and though the place is massive it helped us where ever possible. May it be vanity van parking or placing our props and lights/stands within their property with no fuss. Thank you, Chomu Palace! Thank you to the ever so helpful Bhawani Singh who pulled us up with his support throughout our stay! Thanks to another gentleman who helped me move chairs and tables when I was in a hurry and sun was about to set! What do you do when God is your Gaffer! Eh. Thank you!
