A beautiful heritage experience awaits guests at Chevron Rosemount. The bungalow is beautiful with old world charm and has been restored impeccably. The rooms are well appointed, the balconies and open spaces are beautifully done and food is exquisite. On top of it, the chef and team is highly competent. The road outside the property is a beautiful walk, which we did at least twice a day. Highly recommend.

Winters in the hills are always delightful with bright sunlight. That's why I booked a 2-night stay in Ranikhet with my family of four, intending to relax and enjoy nature under the sun. The reason behind choosing this property. I booked a super deluxe room, but upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised when the resort upgraded my room to a family suite. However, this happiness quickly faded when I found out the room was adjacent to the restaurant and opposite the reception. So, privacy and peace were compromised. Another issue was that the suite was so large that, in sub-zero temperatures, one heater was barely sufficient (though they had a fireplace, it was non-functional). Additionally, noise from the upper floor disrupted our peace since this is a heritage hotel. While the upgrade was appreciated, it came at the cost of privacy, peace, and temperature control (even with an additional heater, it wasn't enough). After escalating the issue, the hotel management politely changed our room the next day, which was appreciated. So, overall, this was a teething issue on day one. However, despite this, my family absolutely loved the overall stay here. Property:A beautiful and small heritage hotel located about 6 km before Ranikhet, near Chaubatia Gardens. Google Maps can be tricky, so search for Hotel Meghdoot, take a left turn downhill, and you'll see a Chevron signboard about a kilometer from there. There is a big lawn facing the Himalayan peaks where you can enjoy breakfast or lunch. The landscaping with flora and fauna was fascinating. There is also a small children's area with a couple of rides and a badminton court. You can spend your mornings and afternoons basking in the sun's warmth, with a book or novel by your side. Food:The in-house chef prepares food like home-cooked meals. All the dishes were good. Service and Hospitality: The service was good, with staff readily available to help and fulfill requests. Some Issues: - Rooms on the ground floor, especially the one opposite the reception, need better privacy. - Heating for larger rooms can be improved. - Wi-Fi signal on the upper floor can be better as mobile network signals are weak. - Room service post 10 PM can be improved; we made calls for a water refill after 10 PM, and no one attended to the call. Overall, it's a beautiful property, but there are areas for improvement. Nonetheless, we simply loved the stay.

The Chevron Rosemount in Ranikhet offers a quintessential blend of heritage charm and serene natural beauty. Here’s a detailed review based on your description: Highlights of the Hotel: Heritage Charm: The hotel exudes an old-world charm, being housed in a heritage building crafted with teak wood. This not only adds to its aesthetic appeal but also gives it a warm, rustic ambiance. For those who appreciate vintage architecture, it’s a treat to experience a bygone era while enjoying modern comforts. Stunning Views: The highlight is undoubtedly the breathtaking view of the majestic Himalayas from the lawn. Morning tea or an evening stroll here must feel like a postcard moment—nature at its pristine best. Spacious and Clean Rooms: The rooms are spacious, making them perfect for leisure travelers who want to unwind without feeling cramped. Cleanliness standards appear commendable, ensuring a comfortable stay. Quiet Ranikhet Location: Located in a small, peaceful town, the hotel is an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. The absence of a bar reflects the subdued, tranquil nature of Ranikhet itself. Things to Note: Restaurant: The restaurant is functional but not extraordinary. While it suffices for basic meals, gourmets might not find a variety of cuisines or high-end dining options. No Additional Services: As a leisure hotel, it focuses on offering a relaxing atmosphere rather than entertainment or luxury amenities. There’s no in-house bar or recreational facilities, which might be a drawback for some but aligns with the hotel's serene, no-frills vibe. Self-Prepared Experience: Given the limited dining and service options, travelers are advised to come prepared with snacks, beverages, or anything specific they might need. Who is This Hotel Best For? Nature Lovers: Perfect for those seeking solace in nature, with the Himalayas as a constant companion. Heritage Enthusiasts: A great pick for travelers who enjoy staying in places steeped in history and character. Leisure Seekers: Ideal for those who want to slow down, relax, and immerse themselves in the beauty of their surroundings. Final Thoughts: Chevron Rosemount is more about experiencing Ranikhet's serene charm and less about luxurious indulgence. It’s an excellent choice if you’re looking to disconnect from your busy life, soak in natural beauty, and enjoy the warmth of a heritage hotel. The stunning Himalayan views and the heritage ambiance are worth the trip, but come prepared for a minimalist, laid-back experience.

ONLY COME HERE IF YOU WANNA RUIN YOUR HAPPINESS: • NO INTERNET OR WIFI- Their best room- the cottage has NO WIFI CONNECTION. And don’t even think about Mobile Data, there’s no mobile network in that secluded property!! • STAFF SERVICE IS WORST. If you complain to their “unprofessional” GM Mr SHASHANK SINGH about complaints like no WiFi or no Tandoor (they don’t use tandoor if the NUMBER OF GUESTS IS FEW!!!) he will get rude, cheap and you will feel threatened!! • Overall there are better options available in Ranikhet.
