Decent place to stay but not the best. Very cheap though so maybe it is preferable for most people. will like that facilities are better though. There are better places to stay in chennai, but I was happy with the location

I have experienced a very bad encounter at this hotel. Once I gave my atm card for payment while chek-in and there was a guy at reception (older at age) and he was literally refusing to accept the atm and was telling me to "go to an atm machine and get the cash as he needs the cash to run the place". I could sense that though there are machines for e-payments (working fine) he didn't know how how to use it and was hiding his incompetency. When I came back to same hotel after 2 months, while check-in, a lady was trying to make e-payments and the same staff (older guy) was struggling and "asked her to go and take cash from atm". One message I would like to make to owners and managers of century palace hotel that please teach and train your that staff how to make e-payments as we don't get a good tone. Moreover, this is NOT about e-payment machine not working but I have seen that older staff struggles to use it.

I booked a room with Century Palace which was confirmed. I landed without sleep in a strange city where I do not speak the language and when I show up expecting a little peace and a warm bed, but alas the hotel Denies my booking ever existing. They got greedy and offered me a more expensive room and said they were sold out. I called my travel company and they call the Century Palace who said that the booking was confirmed by someone who went to his village. I had to wait for and hour and a half till my travel company offered me alternative arrangements. So not only did they lie to me and give two different answers to me and my travel company they also were quite rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone because if they can do this to me, they can do this to anyone. The pictures put up are also very misleading, the hotel is not that bright looking and looks very cheap, not a family oriented place.

Decent place to stay, friendly staff, eager to help and available 24 x 7, complimentary breakfast, price is also affordable, neat rooms plus free WiFi. I have been staying at this place for the past 3 years whenever I visit omr area, surely a pace I can trust always with family.

A well maintained hotel that is not so expensive is difficult to find in this area of OMR. Located near the IT park, it provides a good short-term stay for business visits to this part of Chennai. The hotel is very reasonably priced and decently maintained. Adding wifi in rooms would really increase the pleasure of staying in this hotel. All-in-all, a decent package for the price it commands.
