Large comfortable room. Excellent aircon (much needed), huge double bed, plenty of room and storage. Lovely bathroom with large shower. The roof terrace and pool were pleasant, though we didn’t get to use them. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The staff were all very helpful and attentive. The reception staff were very welcoming and professional. Particular mention for Stanley who was helpful to us fitting out an issue with our booking (completely our fault) on the first day. Very pleased to have spent 3 nights here.

I stayed at Centara hotel recently with my sister for 7 nights in April 2025. Firstly we arrive to the hotel, no one helped to take our luggage in to the hotel or to our rooms, the taxi driver had to help to lift it in to the hotel. There was literally only one staff running the floor when we arrived. The shower was not working properly the whole time during our stay, it was giving out cold water, the staff told us we have to put the sink hot water tap on and run the shower at the same time and this is the only thing that made the hot water work, we had to wait 10 mins for it to get cold… we had to do this throughout our whole stay and it was very exhausting, especially when you’ve had a long day and you just want to have a quick shower. We had to keep asking for our rooms to be cleaned, we stayed for 7 nights and whenever we put the cleaning sign on our door it was always ignored. When we got back to our hotel we would find our room not cleaned and the bedsheets not changed, despite requesting this…When I complained to the hotel that it’s tiring to having to keep asking them to clean our room and it should be done if the sign is on our door, they would eventually send someone up but we had to wait for it to be cleaned and this was very tiring, especially when you just want to relax in the night after a long day out. The cleaners made remakes to us saying why did you complain, then suggested we ask for it to be cleaned every few days which was so ridiculous , we needed the bins changing and item’s topped up and towels/ bedsheets changing, why would we wait a few days when we stayed for 7 nights! The fact that we had to keep asking for our rooms to be cleaned was a joke, when we asked why the sign is being ignored the cleaner told us “oh there’s not enough staff working here”, well then do not advertise it as a 4* star hotel then !!!!! Overall the receptionist staff were decent. But we had anxiety the whole time we stayed at centara hotel, as we felt we weren’t looked after properly. If you want a relaxing holiday then I’d recommend you not to stay here, you’ll spend more time fighting for your room to be cleaned than enjoying your actual holiday. Waste of money, what I would really like is a full refund as we had to do our own cleaning and maintain the room ourselves most of the time. Please change this to a 2* or 3* hotel.

Positives: The hotel room and breakfast were both very good.. The state at reception were always helpful whenever you needed something Negatives: on one occasion we ask for our room to be cleaned by the cleaner and his face was not a face of happiness like we were asking for something to far, the next day we had the light on to clean room on our return from the day out we had to ring down to have the room service carried out. We’re are not asking for much but the we had no toilet roll At this point and it hadn’t been topped up the previous day. The pool area needs a revamp the pools have lots of missing tiles and the decking area is looking tired. We booked airport transfers and for the sofa bed to be made up on the first night as our arrival was really late. The sofa bed was not made and we had to find WiFi in the airport to contact the driver/slash hotel as he was not at place we were given to meet. All in all we had a lovely few days in Oman and the hotel could be so much better with a few improvements. Thank you.

Never trust the service there horrible experience ever in Oman, we tried the rooftop restaurant for Iftar i can be honest and hive 2/10 , dont trust any promotion there you will end paid the double price , such horrible experience ever . Never do it again

Great large room, comfortable beds, very functional new furniture. Bathroom with adequate shower. Good breakfast with a prevalence of savory. Friendly staff for check in on arrival and for check out. We thank Mrs. Najma for having immediately and positively resolved a problem that had arisen on our reservation with Booking.com. I recommend the Centara Hotel Muscat.
