WORST EXPERIENCE EVER and IMPOLITE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with this hotel booked on the OYO app, and I feel compelled to share it to warn others. I booked a hotel through OYO for a two-day stay. Upon arrival, I was charged Rs. 500 extra for an early check-in of just 30 minutes. When I entered the room, it was in a deplorable state—dirty floors, a filthy bedsheet, and a broken washroom. I immediately requested another room, which wasn’t much better. The second room also had unclean bedsheets, with hair and dust on both the bed and the floor. Frustrated, I went back to the reception to request a refund and contacted OYO customer service to cancel my booking. However, the hotel staff and OYO both refused to take responsibility. Then the hotel manager or owner (I’m not sure) in his rude and impolite tone shouted at us and, while grinding his teeth, said, “I won’t give a single rupee.” He outright refused to issue any refund, stating that since I had canceled the booking, there was nothing he could do. OYO customer service also proved to be utterly useless, claiming they couldn’t assist because the payment wasn’t made directly through their platform. Despite staying in the room for less than 30 minutes, I was charged for two full days and denied even a partial refund. The lack of customer support from OYO was appalling. Their agents were polite but entirely unhelpful. This wasn’t the first issue I’ve faced with OYO, but it was by far the worst. The hotel staff's disrespectful behavior and OYO’s refusal to assist were deeply insulting. I’ve stayed in more than 17 hotels in the past six months, but this was my worst experience. I strongly advise against booking through OYO. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. Also, I don't usually give reviews, but this experience forced me to write one. Platforms like Treebo or Booking.com, etc., offer much better service. Save yourself the trouble and avoid OYO until they improve their service and address the unprofessionalism of their hotel partners. If OYO really wants to be in the hospitality business, they need to teach their hotel partners some manners. I would have let go of the money that wasn’t refunded, but their behavior was really rude.
