Utterly charming converted haveli located against the ancient city walls. Lovely traditional room & charming staff. Chef Mohammed cooked delicious & varied vegetarian food every night & the rooftop restaurant has breathtaking views of the fort & is magical when the view is lit up at night.

We stayed at Bundi Vilas for 2 nights and had an amazing time. The manager Vishnu was so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was beautiful and opened out onto the relaxing & gorgeous breakfast courtyard. All the food was delicious, made by the chef Mohamed. So many tasty dishes & different every day. Dinner was served on the roof & the view was spectacular. I would thoroughly recommend staying here. Mohamed & Vishnu made our stay extra special & made Bundi Vilas one of our favourite places to stay

Lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and very well run. We ate there both nights of our stay and weren't disappointed, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Mohamed the chef is very good and even made a cake for my husband's birthday.

Wonderful 5 day stay in Bundi Vilas

We stayed at Bundi Villas for 5 nights, using it as a base to visit Bundi and kota. Our stay was excellent. This was due to the wonderful attention of Vishnu who runs the Haveli with constant good humour and grace and to Mohamed who provided delicious breakfasts and dinners (never once repeating a dish across 5 days). The food was as good as any I have had in top class restaurants. The Haveli itself is very traditional with comfortable bedrooms and well appointed bathrooms. The location of the Haveli is perfect to walk into the town to the market and shops and of particular note is its position under the castle walls. This is particularly spectacular at dinner when the walls are illuminated. All in all a wonderful stay.

Bundi Vilas restaurant at nightfall - quite an experience

The view of the Taragarh Palace from the Bundi Vilas outdoor restaurant at dinner time was outstanding. Finding the restaurant/hotel requires your walking up a tiny alley but there are signs to help you find your way. After three flights of stairs in the hotel, you have arrived on a large flat space with tables. The fort was lite up with huge lights. On top of that, the bats came out at around 8pm, and they came and came and came, all while we ate our delicious thali meal. Quite an experience.
