An Incredible Marriott!

We recently stayed here back in February of this past year for 3 nights. Overall our stay was incredible from start to end! When we checked in, we got a super warm welcome from the young woman at the front desk. She assigned us two amazing adjoining rooms up on the 19th floor. (Rooms 1902 and 1904) To our surprise, one of the rooms was upgraded to a junior suite!!! (Room 1902) The other room was a standard two queen lake view room but still was super super nice!! The cleanliness of this hotel is amazing. The staff are incredible. We have stayed at this hotel a handful of times and keep coming back because of the amazing cleanliness and incredible service! The beds are definitely super firm. They are a bit too firm for my liking, however I did sleep pretty good. I have to give a massive shoutout to both LINDSEY SCHNEGGENBURGER, the AGM and MEGHAN MAROTTA, the front office manager. They both are incredible, and thank you for taking such amazing care of us during each of our stays!!! This is our official go-to hotel while visiting Buffalo. You couldn’t pay me enough to stay elsewhere!!! We can’t wait to return again in the near future!!!!

The Marriott at Lecom overall is a small notch above most Marriott city properties I've stayed in. I'd call it a 4.5 star property. First, the location in downtown Buffalo is optimum, especially if you plan to visit the KeyBank center which is attached directly to the hotel. You don't even have to go outside. Just take the elevator down to the parking garage and walk over to the dedicated KeyBank entrance. You get to skip the long lines outside at the main entrance. The hotel is also walking distance to the waterfront and several restaurants. The hotel lobby and rooms were kept very clean and up to date. Rooms are average size but very comfortable. The lobby bar is small but has a nice atmosphere and friendly service. The only potential downsides: Hotel parking is hard to find on your first visit but easy once you know where to go. Hotel can also become very crowded with youth hockey players and their equipment as there are regular youth tournaments held at the adjoining complex. This hotel remains our first choice when visiting Buffalo.

This is a nice, clean hotel with a friendly and accommodating staff in a great location. While I liked the hotel for the most part I do have an issue with the Marriott model in general as the rooms are small and lack a microwave and a work area. For a conference hotel that seemed odd. I also dislike that Marriott moved away from providing complimentary breakfast to a pay model. While the Marriotts are somewhat more aesthetically pleasing I still prefer the benefits of Hilton properties. Tried the brew pub (located on the parking level) with the group I was with and we all agreed the food was kind of bland-like you would get at a retirement home.

It was a seven night stay, and we slept well, the shower was fab and the housekeeping helpful. I’m thankful for the Tim Horton’s downstairs; it was fun working remotely there while enjoying breakfast and drinking tea! I ordered room service and enjoyed the food, the service was good too. The snack area was a nice to have although the water was very expensive! We used Lyft and Uber often and the only time we struggled to get a driver was if there was a show on at the Key Bank Center. The views of the lake were amazing!

Super location. Reasonable parking fee per night. Great ample rooms with a sitting nook and table. Stay in a water view room if you can. Try the Panorama on Seven restaurant, delicious and Kelly as you server will truly make your trip memorable. Well done!
