We wanted to give our 4.5 year old kid a forest experience and there couldn't have been any better choice than this mesmerizing place located in a massive 40+ acre farm in Masinagudi. We did multiple safaris to Mudumalai and Bandipur from here, as both are close by. Our stay was unique, fascinating and memorable. Firstly, the owner (Mr. Zerasp Kothavala) personally paid attention to our requirements and patiently answered all our queries even before we reached there. We stayed in The Cottage, and loved it for its four side view - it was so nice to see deer, monkeys, peacocks, peahens, malabar giant squirrels, geese, horses etc roaming around freely, right from our cottage windows! The room was very clean and all the basic facilities were in place. Mr. Zerasp also personally took us for a jeep ride across the property. We loved it as we saw so many of these animals and birds from a close range! We could experience horse rides as well. There is a tree platform too which gives a amazing bird's eye view of the entire property. One special thing here is the telescope! It was so nice to see the moon, planets and the stars through the giant lens! They have a lovely swimming pool which is fun as it has deer and horses passing by while you enjoy a refreshing dip! There is an indoor library and games section too next to the dining area which has some engaging activities for kids and adults as well. The food is absolutely delicious - just like home cooked food! The staff very lovingly cooked and served it to us. Special thanks to the super helpful staff (John and all others) who always had a smile on their face and made our stay so enjoyable. The property sees lot of repeat customers (we met a few who have been visiting for decades), and we now know the reasons! Please keep up the great work, and thanks once again for hosting us! Will surely visit again!

Wonderful experience. Great location, quiet, delicious food, extremely friendly and helpful staff, gracious owner. Great joy to observe langurs and cheetal from close quarters. Conveniently located for Mudumalai jungle safari and excursion to Ooty and the Nilgiris. Clean and cosy rooms. A memorable experience.

Peaceful rustic farm guesthouse with attractive grounds and good food

This rustic guest house operation offers several acres of land to wander around in, older accommodations that were very comfortable, and an open air restaurant with wonderful home cooked meals. We stayed in the Jacaranda suite, with two bedrooms and a bathroom attached to a sitting room. A working fridge and air conditioner were present. Staff were f riendly and attentive as needed. We were with a birding group and thoroughly enjoyed the grounds over two days. My wife and I sat in an attractive forest with flowering trees and saw many different birds. Spotted deer grazed on the pasture by our room, and a few horses also wandered around. We were warned to not walk alone at night due to possible leopards but we were not too worried as the animals on site did not look too alarmed. One night we were warned that a watchman would set off crackers to scare off monkeys. These were extremely loud, but only two were set off. This is done only as needed. We did not have any monkey problems at all and would not have minded anyways.

The highlight for us here was a gorgeous pool, often surrounded by spotted dear and other wildlife. Coupled with a very helpful and accommodating team it made for a great stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. If they are fully booked, you can also ask them about their neighbors homestay which is very charming and really in the lap of nature

Coming from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, with its endless buildings, vehicles, noise, and crowds, our two days at Bamboo Banks Farm felt like stepping into a real-life wonderland. It was truly one of the best experiences of our lives. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family. A huge shoutout to the incredible owners, who are truly the heart and soul of this place. Their warmth, kindness, and attention to detail made us feel so special. The staff, especially Mr. Rafique, Mr. John, and the entire team, deserve endless appreciation for their exceptional hospitality. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, and traveling with kids felt effortless because of their care and thoughtfulness. The property itself is a paradise. Waking up to the sight of deer and langurs, the sounds of chirping birds, and the serene beauty of the surroundings felt magical. Every corner of the farm was enchanting, and it was such a refreshing change from city life. The stay was incredibly comfortable, with rooms that were maintained to perfection—on par with any 5-star hotel. Every detail was thoughtfully provided, making our experience seamless. The food deserves a special mention. It was beyond anything we’ve had even at high-end hotels—delicious, homemade, and bursting with authentic flavors. The variety was astounding, served as a proper buffet with unlimited portions. It truly felt like a feast every meal. The package offered incredible value, including meals, accommodation, horse riding, a jeep tour within the premises, and more. Every activity added to the charm of the stay and made it even more memorable. When it was time to leave, we felt like we were leaving a part of ourselves behind. Saying goodbye to the staff and this beautiful place was incredibly emotional, as they made us feel so connected and cared for. To the owners and all the wonderful people working there: thank you for creating such a magical place and for treating your guests with so much love and care. You have truly created a home away from home, and we feel so lucky to have experienced it. I cannot recommend Bamboo Banks Farm enough for anyone visiting Masinagudi. It’s a slice of heaven where nature, comfort, and hospitality come together perfectly. We are already counting down the days until we can return and relive the magic!
