The hotel style is of colonial style. Rooms n hotel is a bit old but it is nice. We were put on the highest floor with 2 rooms. Aircon, wifi, houesekkeping, location is all good. I am very satisfied. Just that there is only one TV in the living room n no TV inside each room. The swimming pool & gym is old & small. Yet to try the French restaurant which my Thai colleague said is good. Will stay here again if I return to Bangkok.

We found this accommodation to be centrally located for access to the transport system in Bangkok. The suites were fine and had everything we needed. The only downfall for us was the long list of prices left in the room to advise us that if anything was damaged or removed we would have to pay. This included curtains, dining table, iron etc. The furniture in our suite was damaged when we arrived. We found the dining table had numerous marks on it, skirting boards were scuffed, wardrobes had paint missing and walls were badly marked, so to ensure we weren't charged for damage we hadn't caused I had to spend some of my holiday taking photographs as evidence! Not the ideal situation when all you want to do is enjoy your stay. I reported my findings to reception and took the photos with me to show as proof. They were apologetic, however I am not sure they fully understood my concerns. I think the owners need to rethink how they make customers feel.... leaving a long list of charges does not make people feel welcome.

This is a high class, though somewhat ageing serviced apartment. Although it has a gym, a swimming pool and washing machines, it is not a hotel as it provides no other service, no breakfast, no room service. This means you will have to go out for every meal. There are plenty of restaurants, market stalls and take-aways in the vicinity, so this may not be a problem. In the apartment there is a kitchen with all the cooking equipment you will need. And cupboards, lots and lots of cupboards. Everywhere. The sitting room is nice, the TV channel selection reasonable, though the table/desk will barely accommodate two comfortably. Oddly, the bedroom and en-suite bathroom is the first room, then the kitchen, and then the sitting room, so as a whole it has a back-to-front feeling about it. It is decorated in what I would describe as a colonial style, reminiscent of Hong Kong. The furnishings are ageing, though not musty. Strangely, the reception will ask for ß3,000 as a deposit and when you get into the apartment, you will wonder if you should photograph it in the state you got it—there is graffiti on the desk, cracked tiles, marks on the walls, etc., but they don’t make a fuss about checking the state of things on check-out. It seems more to do with items you might steal, though believe me, there’s nothing worth stealing: the linens and towels, etc are decidedly second rate. The bed is comfortable enough however, though it is situated right on the corridor, so you can be heard easily by passers by. The sliding bathroom door is heavy and will slam, and if the guests upstairs do this, you will be woken by what sounds like a cannonball being dropped on the floor. You’ll hear their water rushing through the ancient pipes too.

Located in a soi at the Si Lom end of Saladaeng Road. Your taxi driver may need satnav if he doesn't know it as the address in Thai is not quite sufficient for some drivers. Have the telephone number ready as the drivers often prefer to call the hotel rather than use a map. Si Lom MRT and Saladaeng BTS stations are easy walks even with luggage in tow. Check in (booked using an aggregator website) was fine and simple but it is not staffed 24 hours so you must contact in advance if arriving after 2200/10pm. No restaurant (a chic Italian restaurant is next door for fine dining) but eateries abound in Si Lom just 5 minutes walk away. The suite is vast and for about $100 Australian a night is excellent value compared to a hotel room. Furniture is showing some wear as is the bed linen but everything was clean and the kitchen is well equipped for in-suite breakfasts (western style supermarket on nearby Pat Pong Road off Si Lom). No tv in the bedroom but a huge one in the sitting room. Free bottled water daily but no mini bar but a huge refrigerator for locally purchased drinks. I was impressed with the price, location and quality and returning for a longer stay in September. Recommended.

Really great experience. Stayed at 21Saladaeng for 3 weeks for a work visit to Bangkok. The reception team were so lovely and always happy to help with any queries- they were more than happy to print my onward visa for me when I left. Stayed in a 1 bed executive suite which was restocked with coffee and water daily. The apartment was really spacious and clean. The pool and gym area is finished to a really high standard and really clean. The local area is the business district of Bangkok, with lots of nice restaurants. There is a 7Eleven a 5 minute walk away.
