This is actually a really lovely hotel, perfectly located in Mumbai, within a few metres of all the main sights, eateries and shopping areas in Colaba. There seems to be some confusion about booking the property as the message on the hotel website advises not to contact any number for the hotel on Google but only to contact the hotel landline. I did just that and still, when I reached, my booking was not 100% confirmed, despite speaking twice on an expensive call from Ireland to India to make my booking. The lady on duty assumed I booked via booking.com and when I highlighted my entire booking procedure, she apologised, which was welcome. Would suggest the hotel to focus on properly communicating with guests when booking so no misunderstandings take place. The property is really lovely and I would definitely recommend it as a place to stay - just make sure you have a FULLY confirmed booking before you reach. We particularly appreciated the early breakfast before we left at 02am for the airport - and thanks to all the staff there for making the rest of our stay very enjoyable.

The Ascot hotel in Colaba is a delightful experience. The staff is extremely welcoming and attentive. The location is unbeatable. Rooms are spacious, luminous and elegant in a non pretentious way. I highly recommend the Emirates suite or the Deluxe rooms since the price difference is insignificant and the space is larger. The food is good and served with much love. This is one of my very few recommendation in Trip advisor, out of gratitude for a great experience and for sure to be repeated when I come back to Mumbai.

Best location in Colaba on a quiet street near Gate of India. Nice clean and big room with a spacious bathroom with both shower and bathtap. Very helpful staff especially Nayim. Very good breakfast and they served us tea, coffee and water when ever we wanted it.

Nayim and his colleagues gave us excellent service! Always so helpful and serviceminded. Nice suite with a shared balcony. Good breakfast is served. The Hotel is located next to Colaba Causeway and in walking distance from Gateway of India. Can highly recommend Ascot!
