I have visited Wise Owl Comfotel in August 2023. The stay experience was quiet satisfactory. Though there were initial hiccups on the air-conditioning, however they fixed it in an hour. We have booked corporate room and would recommend this category if you want a spacious room and comfortable stay. House keeping staff Tinku and Nilendu were very prompt in their service, and the Manager Mr. Subroto Bose was very nice and helpful. The Wise Owl Cafe in the ground floor is simply awesome and is a must to go place. Overall the stay was comfortable in Wise Owl Comfotel.

Wise Owl Comfotel was far from comforting! Very, very disappointing! We had paid for 2 nights in advance (thru #Goibibo) but checked out after 1 night since their WiFi was not working (my wife had to attend some online classes in the evening and hence WiFi connectivity was essential). Do not get fooled by their offerings which includes wifi (internet)! WiFi was there but with no internet access (which is as good as no wifi). At first, they kept on insisting that WiFi was working but when I showed them that internet access was absent, they fell silent. They then gave a cock and bull story about some repair work going on for the last few days (and that is why WiFi was down for quite a few days) but that did not cut ice since service providers typically troubleshoot connectivity problems within one day max. They then tried to tell me that power supply was an issue - but I shot down that argument too since the wifi signal was there (minus internet connectivity) which clearly indicated that power supply to their WiFi router was there. Their money grubbing attitude was evident in other ways too. For example, they had kept an electric kettle with cups and saucers in the room but with no tea bags or sugar/milk satchets. I did not get a refund for short-closing my stay by 1 day. Shameful!

Just an Average Experience

We were there on a family trip and booked it for 3nights/4days. Stayed in a deluxe room which had just the basic amenities but without a standard refrigerator. Not even a litre of drinking water comes as default . Complimentary Breakfast is of Rajdhani Express type combining basic toast, butter cubes and a banana which was replaced by an omelet, the next morning and yes complimentary tea is only black tea. On the last day, we were lucky to get poori/sabji in breakfast, which was served only at the room (no buffet please). Tea/coffee sachets were not refilled unless was requested to do so. Cleanliness is good and the AC works. Basically you pay the price purely for a good location.
