I’ve been staying for 10+ years at this property with a few exceptions and overall there is a distinct sense that things are going downhill. Both housekeeping and maintenance are showing signs of serious decline. No upgrade offered as a Platinum member but access to the lounge is given plus the option to upgrade the breakfast to the main restaurant (Aria) - neither are particularly pleasant. The lounge is a crowded affair, with a makeshift buffet dressed in the middle of the room - looks downtrodden and low quality, as is the food served. Staff there seemed overwhelmed and rushed to clear tables. I stepped away for less than a minute and returned to an empty table despite not having finished. Breakfast downstairs is underwhelming. Food quality is very average and selection quite standard. Orange juice was basically pure pulp, undrinkable. The main issue however is with housekeeping. Three examples, which whilst seemingly small are clearly indication there is zero thinking in the way things are managed. First, immediately upon checking-in I found a spare pillow at the foot of the bed. Having an out of place item made me wonder if the room had been checked or fully cleaned. Called and a manager turned up, looked at the pillow in complete silence for a good 15 seconds with absolute dismay, made a furious call and then explained the issue while assuring me the room was the one I should have been assigned and had been cleaned and checked. It turned out the item was requested by another room and had been misplaced. Secondly and more tellingly, the shower head was badly leaking which would be obvious to housekeeping. I forgot to mention it on day one, and nothing had been fixed when I returned. This alone is the core of the issue. Housekeeping are simply not empowered or incentivised to correct/highlight issues for the benefit of guests. Whomever serviced the room would have had to see this (unless they don’t clean the bath, which would be another issue entirely) and yet instead of having it fixed they continued to use a very leaky shower head. Third example - the bed has a large bolster pillow which contrary to all the others does not have a cover - so it is unlikely to be changed between guests. I placed it at the very top of the wardrobe upon arriving and for three days it stayed there untouched. On day four however the person servicing the room decided to put it back on the bed on clean sheets. Extremely annoying as it was being stored in a dusty area and as mentioned is in any case unlikely to be changed frequently. As a side note this item makes no sense whatsoever and should instead be made available upon request. This is not hygienic at all. Aside from these, the main lock failed on day two preventing me from returning to the room between two nearby meetings to retrieve an item. It was fixed by the evening. To balance things, there was an attempt at service redress with the delivery of a nice note, half bottle of wine and snack. Certainly appreciated but frankly also quite irrelevant in the middle of the stay when other issues developed thereafter. So overall there is a very clear issue with maintenance and housekeeping standards. It won’t necessarily detract me from returning, as I really like the location, but I might consider other options as more clients move to Gangnam.

From the moment I walked in, the customer service was top-notch, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I got the high floor room that I requested, and the connected room made it perfect for my family. I was also able to check in early, which made my day so much easier. Jackson at the front desk was particularly friendly and made the check-in process a breeze. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Very clean and comfortable. They have an excellent staff and you are greeted warmly. The concierge personnel (especially Ms Wendy Han) were very helpful and had great recommendations for meals. We had breakfast every morning at the Aria restaurant within the hotel. It was an amazing spread of asian and also typical breakfast foods (omelet station, pastries, etc). Service everywhere in the hotel was wonderful.

Excellent hotel with excellent service. The concierge staff was superb and went above and beyond to provide us with the best service during our stay. William was particularly helpful in helping us find services we required during our stay. His efforts were very much appreciated. The rooms were well appointed, comfortable and spacious.
