Day 1 HARIDWAR–GUPTKASHI/SITAPUR

Guptakashi, Gupta Kashi or Guptkashi is a fairly large town located at an elevation of 1,319 metres (4,327 ft) in the Kedar-
khanda (‘khanda’ means “sector”), in Garhwal Himalayas of Rudraparyag district in Uttrakhand, India. It is known for its

ancient Vishwanath Temple dedicated to the god Shiva, which is similar to the one in Varanasi (Kashi). The other well-
known temple here is dedicated toArdhanareshvara, a half man half woman form of Shiva and Parvati. The name

Guptakashi has legendary significance linked to the Pandavas, the heroes of the Hindu epicMahabharata .Its religious
importance is considered next to that of Varanasi, believed to be the most pious of all Hindu pilgrimage places.

Day 2 :GUPTKASHI/SITAPUR – SONPRAYAG – KEDARNATH

The Early Start: Fuel up with breakfast and head to Sonprayag, the gateway to the high Himalayas. Arriving early helps you find your rhythm before the trail gets busy.
The 20 km Sacred Trek: Begin your climb toward the shrine. Whether you choose to trek on foot or hire a pony or Doli, the path is a shared experience of endurance and faith.
The Path of the Mandakini: Follow the roar of the Mandakini River. The trail from Gaurikund upwards offers a front-row seat to the powerful glacial waters that define this landscape.
Himalayan Grandeur: Prepare for “magic hour” moments where the mist parts to reveal jagged, blinding-white peaks that seem to touch the edge of the atmosphere.
A Shared Spirit: You’re never alone on this trail. The rhythmic chants of “Jai Bholenath” from fellow pilgrims provide a natural soundtrack that keeps your energy high.
Summit Sanctuary: Upon arrival, settle into the Government Camps or Lodges. After a long day on the trail, a warm dinner and a quiet night in the thin, crisp mountain air await you.

the Mandakini River in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand in India.

Day 3 KEDARNATH – SONPARYAG – GUPTKASHI / SITAPUR

Pre-Dawn ‘Abhishek’ (4:45 AM): Experience the ultimate spiritual connection. Arrive before daybreak for the Abhishek ritual, where you have the rare privilege of entering the Garbha Griha (Sanctum Sanctorum) to touch the deity and offer personal prayers in the morning stillness.
The 20 km Descent: After your morning Puja, begin the scenic return trek from Kedarnath to Sonprayag. While the downhill path is easier on the lungs, it offers a fresh perspective of the cascading Mandakini River and the vast Himalayan landscape.
Seamless Logistics: Skip the parking stress. Your vehicle will be waiting at the Sonprayag Parking Area to whisk you away as soon as you finish your trek.
Rest & Recovery: Conclude your day with a drive to your hotel in Sitapur or Guptkashi. Swap the rugged mountain camps for a warm meal and a comfortable bed in the valley to celebrate the completion of your pilgrimage.

The Garbha Griha (literally “womb chamber”) is the innermost sanctum of a Hindu temple where the primary idol or deity resides. In the Char Dham temples, it is the most sacred, dimly lit space where devotees focus their prayers, symbolizing the origin of life and the center of the universe.

Day 4 GUPTKASHI – DEVPRAYAG-HARIDWAR

Morning breakfast at hotel, and you are on your last lap of this Kedarnath JI & Badrinath) Drive back to Haridwar VIA
Devprayag.
On reaching Haridwar transfer to Railway Station / Bus Stand / Dehradun Airport.
