Day 1 Arrival in Delhi | New Delhi Focus
- After arrival, keep it lighter since travel can be tiring.
- Visit India Gate & Kartavya Path. Start at the ceremonial axis of India. Walk through the lush lawns surrounding the 42-meter high war memorial.
- Rashtrapati Bhavan (Drive-past). View the official residence of the President. The scale of the “Lutyens’ Delhi” architecture is best appreciated from a moving vehicle.
- Humayun’s Tomb. A UNESCO site and the architectural inspiration for the Taj Mahal. The Persian-style gardens (Charbagh) are stunning in the afternoon light.
- Lotus Temple. End your sightseeing in silence at this Baháʼí House of Worship, famous for its flower-like marble petals.
- Connaught Place (CP). Explore the white colonnaded circles for dinner and high-street shopping.

India Gate is a majestic 42-meter high sandstone arch in New Delhi, built as a war memorial to honor Indian soldiers who died during the First World War.
The monument features the Amar Jawan Jyoti (Flame of the Immortal Soldier) and sits at the eastern end of the ceremonial Kartavya Path, surrounded by lush lawns.
Rashtrapati Bhavan
Rashtrapati Bhavan is the official residence of the President of India, a massive 340-room H-shaped mansion designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker.
Situated at the western end of Kartavya Path, it is renowned for its blend of Mughal and European architecture and the stunning Amrit Udyan (formerly Mughal Gardens).
Humayun’s Tomb
Humayun’s Tomb is a magnificent UNESCO World Heritage site and the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent, featuring a grand double dome and red sandstone architecture.
Commissioned by Empress Bega Begum, this masterpiece served as the primary architectural inspiration for the Taj Mahal and perfected the Persian “Charbagh” garden layout.
Lotus Temple
The Lotus Temple is a Baháʼí House of Worship in New Delhi, world-renowned for its striking design consisting of 27 free-standing marble “petals” arranged to resemble a lotus flower.
Open to people of all faiths, the temple serves as a symbol of human unity and is surrounded by nine blue ponds that make the structure appear to float on water.
Day 2 Old Delhi Exploration
- Red Fort (Lal Qila). Explore the massive red sandstone walls. Don’t miss the Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience) and the Moti Masjid.
- Jama Masjid. One of India’s largest mosques. Climb the southern minaret for a bird’s-eye view of the chaotic streets below.
- Chandni Chowk Rickshaw Ride. Navigate the “Moonlight Square.” Take a rickshaw through Khari Baoli (Asia’s largest spice market). Stop at Paranthe Wali Gali for a famous deep-fried bread lunch.
- Raj Ghat. Pay your respects at the Mahatma Gandhi memorial—a peaceful transition from the chaos of the markets.
- Evening: Relax at your hotel or visit Dilli Haat for authentic regional handicrafts and street food.

Jama Masjid is one of the largest mosques in India, built by Emperor Shah Jahan using red sandstone and white marble, featuring three grand domes and two towering minarets.
Located in the heart of Old Delhi, its vast courtyard can hold over 25,000 worshippers and offers a panoramic view of the bustling Chandni Chowk district.
Raj Ghat
Raj Ghat is a serene memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, featuring a simple black marble platform that marks the exact spot of his cremation in 1948.
The site is inscribed with his famous last words, “He Ram,” and is surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens where an eternal flame burns in his honor.
Day 3 Delhi → Agra (via Yamuna Expressway)
- Drive to Agra. Take the Yamuna Expressway (approx. 3-4 hours).
- Agra Fort. Explore the walled city where Emperor Shah Jahan was imprisoned. The view of the Taj Mahal from the Musamman Burj is hauntingly beautiful.
- Lunch. Try the local “Agra Petha” (a translucent soft candy) after a traditional North Indian meal.
- Taj Mahal at Sunset. Entering in the late afternoon allows you to see the marble change from golden-yellow to soft pink as the sun sets.
- Mehtab Bagh (Optional). View the Taj from across the river for a different, crowd-free perspective.

Agra Fort is a massive UNESCO World Heritage site made of red sandstone, serving as the main residence of the Mughal emperors before the capital shifted to Delhi.
The fort is often called a “walled city” and contains stunning structures like the Jahangiri Mahal and the Musamman Burj, where Shah Jahan was imprisoned while overlooking the Taj Mahal.
Day 4 Agra → Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri
- Sunrise at Taj Mahal (Optional). If you missed sunset or want a quieter experience, the 6:00 AM light is ethereal.
- Fatehpur Sikri. Located 40km from Agra. This “Ghost City” was the Mughal capital for 14 years. See the Buland Darwaza, the highest gateway in the world.
- Drive to Jaipur. Reach the capital of Rajasthan by late afternoon.
- Chokhi Dhani. Visit this ethnic village resort for a traditional Rajasthani dinner, folk dance, and camel rides.

Day 5 Jaipur Sightseeing

Constructed from pale yellow and pink sandstone, the fort overlooks Maota Lake and is famous for its massive ramparts, series of gates, and ornate cobbled paths.
Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal, or the “Palace of Winds,” is a unique five-story pink sandstone structure featuring 953 intricate windows called Jharokhas designed to look like Lord Krishna’s crown.
It was built in 1799 to allow royal ladies to observe street festivals and daily life from behind the screens without being seen by the public.
City Palace
City Palace is a sprawling complex in the heart of Jaipur that serves as a royal residence, blending Mughal and Rajput architecture with beautiful courtyards and museums.
The palace features the famous Pritam Niwas Chowk, which contains four stunning doorways representing the four seasons, and still houses the descendants of the former royal family.
Day 6 Jaipur → Delhi | Departure
- Visit Patrika Gate. Stop here for colorful, Instagram-worthy photos of Rajasthani murals before leaving the city.
- Drive back to Delhi. The 270km journey takes roughly 5-6 hours via NH48.
- Arrival in Delhi. Head straight to the airport or railway station.
