Steps To Follow For Extending/Renewing Dubai Visa

Extension of visas provides job-seekers, small business owners and tourists with some more time for job seeking, client meetings, networking and sightseeing. According to the newest reforms passed by the UAE visa system, tourists can now enjoy a 30-day visa extension twice (for a total of 60 days), without having to leave the country at all. Unlike previous laws, this new system is more flexible and preferable in minimising the travel burden and presenting a welcome note to potential tourists who are willing to apply for a visa to Dubai.

The visa extension process is far more complicated than it seems and needs to be done carefully.

Renewing Your Visit Visa:

As mentioned above, the extension of your visa can happen for 60 days and for two times at maximum. But if you are looking to extend your duration on the last day of visa expiration, the payment fees is 100 AED. To avail the visa extension facility, you need to renew before it gets expired. There are several countries like Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands and New Zealand where the visa can only be renewed once.

For renewing visit visa in the immigration office without having to leave the country, a fee of 500 AED would be collected. Thanks to the new rules, people can now opt for visa change on airport-to-airport basis. Applicable on all types of entry visas, these rules have helped students, patients and business officials. But, there”s a catch. The applicant will be considered a violator if the visitors comply with applications and transactions before the expiry date.

Here”s the breakdown you need:

1. Pay a Visit to the DNRD office:

Visit the Department of Naturalization and Residency (DNRD) to pay the fees of 500 AED if you are looking to renew your Dubai visit permit without having to leave the country.

2. Visa Run:

Once you land, you need to enter departure terminal at the airport and board a flight back to the UAE. Once you”re done with the flight, you can visit the Dubai airport and get a new visa for either 30 or 60 days.

4. Driving To The Border:

While this option may sound exciting, you need to keep certain things in order. Driving to the Oman border isn”t fun. First, attain an exit stamp from the border and keep the ticket safe as you need to present them on your trip back to UAE.
