2. Nahargarh Fort:

Nahargarh Fort is another very popular fort in Jaipur located in the foothills of the Aravallis. Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the 18th century, this fort is also known as the ‘Tiger Fort’ and offers an amazing view of the city of Jaipur. It was built for the defence of the city and was also used as a hunting residence by the Maharajas. The fort also has a wax museum at the entrance which has more than 35 wax and silicone statues of celebrities from the world of films, politics and sports. 3. Jaigarh Fort:

The name of this fort means ‘Fort of victory’. Another majestic structure in Jaipur, this fort is awe-inspiring by its sheer majesty. Built by Jai Singh II in 1726, this fort was built to protect the Amber Fort. Tourists to this city must visit the Jaigarh Fort to admire the beauty and splendour of its architecture. It is located on a hilltop and its location is such that it offers the most amazing views to visitors. It also has a huge cannon named ‘Jaivana’. It features a palace complex, armoury and a museum. 4. City Palace Fort:

The City Palace Fort complex was built by Raja Jai Singh 2 and it occupies almost 1/7th of the city’s total area. It houses a museum on its premises, known as the Raja Sawai Man Singh 2 museum. There is much for tourists to see at the City Palace Fort. It also has the Sri Govind Dev temple on the premises, which tourists can visit.
