- How do I use the train search?
- It’s pretty straightforward. Just select your origin, destination, travel date, class, and click Search. Voila! You’re done.
- Can I book train tickets as well?
- Not at the moment. This facility currently allows you to search for train routes, check fares, train details, station details, as well as the seat availability.
- I can only search for trains but can’t book them? What gives?
- We will do our best to make booking available as and when we can. Until then, we wanted you to enjoy our very neat train search facility. With the existing lot of train travel tools out there, we understand how frustrating it can be when you want to research train journey details. This feature allows you to find out what you want to know in a jiffy. Its all part of our endeavor to make travel simple for you.
- How accurate is the pricing and availability data?
- The prices displayed are pretty accurate but may vary slightly from time to time. When we say ‘slightly’, we’re talking about a variance of about 5% on average. You’ll still get a very solid ballpark figure of what the train journey is going to cost you.
The same variance level applies to seat availability. For example, if the seat queue for a particular train journey shows a waitlist of 15 people, the actual waitlist may be the same or a little longer.
- I know the train that I want to take, but how can I see the stations that it passes through?
- From the search results page, click on the train of your choice to view that train’s schedule. If it passes through multiple stations in your city, you can see the times at which it departs and arrives.
- I can see my train search results, but why do I need to click on “check seats?”
- Seats sell fast. And you need to know what the seat availability for your train ride is. Clicking on the “check seats” link allows you to get the latest seat availability position at that point in time.
