Veer Savarkar International Airport, also known as Port Blair Airport, is a customs airport approximately 2 kilometers south of the city. It is the primary airport that connects the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to the remainder of the country. This airport operates as a civil enclave and shares airside facilities with INS Utkrosh of the Navy.

Named after the renowned freedom fighter, the Veer Savarkar International Airport also serves private jets, as tourism is the most important industry on these islands. A new building is currently being developed and expected to be commissioned in March 2018.
