I absolutely don't agree with all negative reactions. Wonderful hotel, luxurious rooms, good food and outstanding service. European prices but worth every penny!

If Fawlty Towers had been based in a large, modern many-roomed hotel, then this would be it. Terrible food, appalling service, ridiculous decor (poorly painted), smelly room initially (we found

another one) ... and not surprisingly, completely and utterly empty.
And ... they were re-building some of it (why?).
Very close to the ruins and to Moulay Idriss, though, so if you want a quick overnight stay, it's perhaps worth it for the funny side.
Expect nothing - and you'll probably get it. The pool looked nice though.
Oh ... and far too expensive!

Booked by our travel agent who arranged our private tour and we had little choice there. With hindsight, we should have stayed in Rabat and travelled up to Volubilis instead.

It was a bit of building site as they were extending the garden I think? The workers started their noisy building work at 7am! The room was badly furnished. Everything looked in need of modernisation and, hmmmmmm, let's be honest it was really quite gross. Bed and sheets were scarily uncomfortable. Water from the shower was barely lukewarm. There were cockroaches on the balcony. The only place we stayed at with no free internet.
Having said that the food was edible, the view was pleasant enough and the staff were helpful.
In a warped way, I found this place somewhat amusing just for the novelty value as I have never experienced a hotel quite like this.
